Re: Oh God, you are my God

O send out thy light and thy truth
let them lead me
let them bring me unto thy holy hill
and to thy tabernacles
Then will I go unto the altar of God
unto God my exceeding joy
yea, upon the harp will I praise thee
O God my God - Psalm 43:2-4

In the beginning was the Word

In him was life...

...and the life was the light of men

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,

Quote:
I am the light of the world

he that followeth me

shall not walk in darkness,

but shall have the light of life.

...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said,

Father, the hour is come
glorify thy Son
that thy Son also may glorify thee...

...And now come I to thee
and these things I speak in the world
that they might have my joy
fulfilled in themselves
I have given them thy word
and the world hath hated them
because they are not of the world
even as I am not of the world
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world
but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil
They are not of the world
even as I am not of the world

Sanctify them through thy truth

thy word

is truth

Re: the place of His feet

Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; And preached, saying,

Quote:
There cometh one mightier than I after me

Quote:
the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose

Ever living God
Maker of all the Earth
Ever lasting King
Our eternal praise belongs to You
All of the honour
All of the glory to You

Take the place of all honour,
Take the place above all thrones

-lyrics from the song Ever Living God, by Hillsong

Re: His way is perfect, He does all things well

As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord is tried:
he is a buckler to all them
that trust in him.

Behold,
my servant shall deal prudently,
he shall be exalted and extolled,
and be very high.

And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue

And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him

' Ephphatha'

that is

' Be opened'

And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;

And were beyond measure astonished, saying

'He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak '

 Re: A song

I posted this on another thread, but I thought it might be appropriate here also.

Here is a song God gave me a few years ago. For me, it was a time a great failure in my walk with God, in my marriage, and even at work. If you want, make it your own. I hope it encourages you and blesses you.

It is loosely based upon Revelation 21:2-4

2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
-------------------------------

Behold the Bride
She's all dressed in white
With a veil upon her eyes
Longing too see Him, as He really is
This is the day she's been waiting for

She remembers that day
When He asked for her hand
Oh what love was in His eyes
She remembers her sin, and all of the shame
And how He took it away, and offered her His name

Chorus

Would you be my bride
And dwell with me forever
Would you be my bride
And I will leave you never
Would you be my bride

Oh but how many times has she failed Him
How many tears has she cried
In her heart of hearts, she wants to follow
She knows she needs to give up all
And with her head hung down
She hears that familiar call

Chorus

I chose you my bride
You did not choose me
I chose you my bride
You don't see what I see
I chose you, and I know you
I chose you my bride

Bridge

It's within my Covenant
That you will find strength and peace
A Promise from me to you
That I will never leave
For I Am your Husband
And all I Am is yours
If you can't believe my words
Then look unto the Cross

Chorus

I Love you my bride
And I'm coming back to get you
I Love you my bride
So keep yourself pure
I Love you my bride

 Re:likened unto the LORD

And the heavens shall
praise thy wonders, O Lord:
thy faithfulness also
in the congregation of the saints.
For who in the heaven
can be compared unto the Lord?
who among the sons of the mighty
can be likened unto the Lord?

...who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?

And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him,

"How long dost thou make us to doubt?"

"If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly"

Jesus answered them,

I told you, and ye believed not

the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

...I and my Father are one.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

...because I said, I am the Son of God?

 Re: without blemish

Your lamb shall be without blemish...

Jesus said...

Which of you convinceth me of sin?

Oh I am not redeemed by corruptible things
Not by silver not by gold
And not by aimless tradition
But by the blood of God's sacred Son, Jesus...

Oh sacred Son
Who paid the price
Oh may I live a grateful life
That magnifies Your name forever!

- words to the song Incorruptible by Nathan and Christy Nockels

Re: full of grace and truth

Mercy and truth
are met together
righteousness and peace
have kissed each other

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

...when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them,

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her

Woman,

where are those thine accusers?

hath no man condemned thee?

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her

Neither do I condemn thee

go, and sin no more.

Re: a sign and a wonder

Behold,

I and the children whom the Lord hath given me
are for signs and for wonders in Israel
from the Lord of hosts,
which dwelleth in mount Zion.

...the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

...that ye may marvel

 Re:

How Great Is Our God
Chris Tomlin

The splendor of the King,
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice,
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light,
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at his voice,
And trembles at his voice

How great is our God,
Sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

Age to age he stands
And time is in His Hands
Beginning and the End,
Beginning and the End
The Godhead, Three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb,
The Lion and the Lamb

Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing how great
Is our God

How great is our God,
Sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

Re: I delight to do Thy will

Sacrifice and offering
thou didst not desire;
mine ears hast thou opened:
burnt offering and sin offering
hast thou not required.

Then said I

Quote:
Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Jesus saith unto them,

My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
