Tribulation
In the Bible, "tribulation" refers to a period of distress, suffering, and persecution that can be experienced both individually and collectively. The term is often associated with the trials and challenges faced by believers in their faith journey. For instance, in John 16:33, Jesus mentions, "In the world you will have tribulation; but take heart; I have overcome the world," indicating that tribulation is an expected experience for His followers. This aligns with the broader biblical theme that trials serve a purpose in refining faith and producing perseverance (Romans 5:3-5; James 1:2-4).The concept of tribulation is also prominently featured in eschatological contexts, particularly in the Book of Revelation, where it describes the severe trials that precede the return of Christ and the establishment of God's kingdom. Revelation 7:14 refers to a great multitude that comes out of the "great tribulation," signifying both the severity of the trials and the ultimate redemption and victory of believers. Thus, tribulation in the biblical context encompasses both the present struggles of faith and the prophetic anticipation of future trials that will culminate in divine deliverance.

In the World Ye Shall Have Tribulation

Spurgeon also highlights the internal struggles with sin that every believer faces, asserting that even without external foes, the heart can be a source of trouble. However, he reassures believers that God is present to provide help and strength in times of trouble.
The Tribulation and Triumph of the Kingdom (Dan. 12)
By Mike Bickle2358:58DAN 12:1Mike Bickle emphasizes the paradox of the Kingdom of God, where ultimate triumph is achieved through tribulation, as illustrated in Daniel 12. He explains that a time of unprecedented trouble is coming, marked by the rise of the Antichrist and a significant increase in angelic activity, particularly through Michael the Archangel. Bickle urges believers to prepare themselves spiritually, making resolute choices for righteousness before the intensity of conflict escalates. He warns against the deception that may arise during this time, stressing the importance of remaining faithful to the truth of Jesus and the call to righteousness. Ultimately, he reassures that those who endure will shine like stars in the Kingdom of God.
Coming Up Through Great Tribulation
By Charles Finney0REV 7:14Charles Finney emphasizes that great tribulations are an inherent part of the Christian experience across all ages and nations. He explains that these tribulations manifest as persecution, spiritual desertion, and struggles with personal weaknesses, all of which serve to refine and strengthen believers. Finney argues that God allows these trials not as arbitrary punishments but as necessary disciplines for spiritual growth and preparation for eternal glory. He reassures Christians that through these challenges, they can develop deeper faith, patience, and a clearer understanding of God's love and purpose. Ultimately, Finney encourages believers to embrace their tribulations as part of God's loving plan for their lives.

The speaker draws a parallel between this event and the crucifixion of Christ, highlighting the significance of Christ's blood and its ability to speak better things than the blood of Abel. Additionally, the speaker mentions the connection between Shem, Abraham, and the spiritual blessings available to those who dwell in the tents of Shem. He concludes by stating that once the bride of Christ is gathered, God will resume dealing with Israel and the last seven years of prophecy will unfold.
