Kingly Glory

1 sermons

Kingly glory is a profound theme woven throughout Scripture, reflecting the majesty and sovereignty of God as the ultimate King. In Psalms 24:7-10, we are invited to lift our heads and behold the King of glory, emphasizing His strength and power. This glory is not only a characteristic of God but also a calling for His people, as seen in 1 Peter 2:9, where believers are described as a royal priesthood, tasked with proclaiming the excellencies of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light. The New Testament further reveals the fullness of this glory through Jesus Christ, who embodies the Kingly glory of God. In John 1:14, we read that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Moreover, the vision of the King in Revelation 19:16, where Jesus is depicted as King of kings and Lord of lords, highlights the ultimate authority and divine majesty that will be fully revealed at His second coming. As believers, understanding Kingly glory invites us to live in reverence and awe, acknowledging His sovereignty in our lives and the world around us.
