Christ Foundation

1 sermons

Christ is the cornerstone of our faith, as affirmed in Ephesians 2:20, where Paul writes that believers are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. This foundational truth is echoed in 1 Corinthians 3:11, which states, 'For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.' The significance of Christ as our foundation is further illustrated in Psalms 87, which speaks of the city of God, emphasizing that true belonging and identity are found in Him. As believers, we are called to build our lives upon this solid rock, as Jesus teaches in Matthew 7:24-25, where He compares those who hear His words and act on them to a wise man who built his house on the rock. In contrast, those who do not heed His teachings are likened to a foolish man who builds on sand. Moreover, in Colossians 2:6-7, Paul encourages Christians to continue to live in Christ, rooted and built up in Him, establishing a faith that is vibrant and resilient. Thus, understanding Christ as our foundation is essential for spiritual growth and stability, guiding us in our journey of faith.
