A man living at the time of the Patriarchs, first mentioned at Gen.22.22;
only referred to as Bethuel (בְּתוּאֵל);
son of Nahor and Milcah;
a brother of Uz, Buz, Kemuel, Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph and Tebah;
half-brother of: Gaham, Tahash and Maacah;
father of Rebekah and Laban.
