Mayor (on 2Pe_2:14 ) cites Longinus ii. 2, ἀστήρικτα καὶ ἀνερμάτιστα unstable and unballasted (Roberts) : this should be added to Grimm s Anthology citation. We do not trouble much about vernacular warrant for words in 2 Pet. It occurs six times in Vettius Valens, in the phrase ἀ . λογισμοῦ unstable in judgement.
