This NT ἅπ . εἰρ ., warranted from Polybius, is perhaps to be supplied in P Oxy I. 141 .5 (A.D. 503) τοῖς ἀγροφύλαξ (ι ) . . . φυλάττουσ (ι ) τὸ ἀντιπελ ( ), with reference to guards who protected estates on the further bank (probably of the Baḥr Yusuf).
