For the meaning follow along with, as in Mar_14:51 , cf. the fragmentary P Petr II. 4 (2) (= p. [7]) συνακολουθείτω δέ τις παρὰ σοῦ τῆι ομ [, and P Tebt I. 39 .14 (B.C. 114) συνε (= α )κολουθεῖν ἐπὶ τὴν σημαινομένην οἰκίαν , to go along with him to the house alluded to. An interesting use of the verb is found in P Petr II. 13 (18 b ) .16 (B.C. 258 253) περὶ ] δὲ τοῦ κυρωθῆναι τὰ ἔργα γράψον Νέω [ν ]ι ? συ [να ]κολουθεῖν τοῖς ἔργοις , where the editor renders but as regards the audit (sanction) of the work, write to Neon? to keep his eye on the works.
