For this verb reign together ( 1Co_4:8 , 2Ti_2:12 ) cf. Polyb. xxx. 2. 4 κατὰ μὲν τὸ παρὸν συμβασιλεύει τ᾽ ἀδελφῷ . Mention is made of συμβασιλισταί , apparently members of a royal military union (cf. Preisigke Fachwφrter s.v . βασιλισταί ), in an inscr. addressed to Ptolemy III., published in Archiv v. p. 158.
