zealously, earnestly : PSI VII. 742 .6 (v/vi A.D.) σπουδαίως μεταδοῦναί μοι διὰ γρ [αμμάτων ?] τὸ τῆς ὑποθέσεως . The comp ve σπουδαιοτέρως in Php_2:28 is to be taken as a superl ve with the utmost diligence in accordance with a common practice in late Greek : cf. Blass Gr. P. 33.
