For the substitution of ε for αι in this NT ἄπ . εἰρ . ( Rev_18:13 ), = a chariot, cf. Moulton Gr . ii. p. 81. According to Quintilian i. 5. 57 the ῥέδη came from Gaul and was a vehicle with four wheels.
