In the Tebtunis ostracon 3 .1 (ii/A.D.) (= P Tebt II. p. 336) reference is made to πόσις ζύτου , the drinking of beer in connexion with a festival at the temple of Bubastus. In Joh_6:55 , and probably in Rom_14:17 , Col_2:16 , the word is concrete = πόμα , drink.
