περιτίθημι [page 509] place around, clothe with, as in Mat_27:28 , may be illustrated from PSI I. 64 .17 (i/B.C. ?), where a woman who has offered to live with a man as his wife promises not to carry off certain articles of adornment if she leaves him ἐ̣α̣̣ν ἄλλ̣α χρυσίου κόσμου μετὰ τὰ προκείμεν̣[α . . .] . . ρησας μοι περιθῇς , οὐκ ἀπελε [ύ ]σομαι αὐτ [ὰ ] ἔχουσα .
