Moulton & Milligan — Vocabulary of the Greek NT

ἀνατίθημι (~ἀνατίθεμαι ) [page 38] Note the perfect active ἀνατέθηκα in Syll 604 .10 (Pergamon, end of iii/B.C.). This is a later example of what is now known to be the classical form of the perfect of τίθημι , which only in the Hellenistic age was replaced by τέθεικα . The late sense impart, communicate, with a view to consultation, found in the two NT occurrences of the word ( Act_25:14 , Gal_2:2 ; cf. 2Ma_3:9 ) seems to appear in P Par 69 D. .23 (A.D. 233) ἀναθέμενοι τὸ πρᾶγμα ἀκ [έραιον ]. In P Strass I. 41 .7 (A.D. 250) ὥστε οὐκ ἂν ἔχοι ἀναθέσθαι τὴν δίκη [ν εἰς ἐτέραν ἡμέραν ] the verb = postpone. The active = dedicate occurs everywhere.
