Moulton & Milligan — Vocabulary of the Greek NT

οὐράνιος [page 466] heavenly, is seen in P Eud 24 .3 (before B.C. 165) οὐράνια διδασκαλέα , and in P Thead 49 .3 (A.D. 307 324?) ἰς γνῶσιν τῆς οὐρανίου αὐτοῦ π̣ρ̣[ο ]μηθείας [ἀ ]φῖκται . In both these instances it is an adj. of two terminations as in Luk_2:13 στρατιᾶς οὐρανίου (but subst. οὐρανοῦ in B* D*), and Act_26:19 τῇ οὐρανίῳ ὀπτασίᾳ . The fem. in α , as in class. Greek, is restored by the editor in PSI I. 86 .3 (A.D. 367 375) ὁμολ [ογῶ ὀμνὺς τὴν θεί ]αν καὶ οὐραν̣ι̣[αν τύ ]χην κτλ . The adj. is naturally common in the magic papyri, e.g. P Lond 46 .166 (iv/A.D.) (= I. p. 70) πᾶς δαίμων οὐράνιος καὶ αἰθέριος καὶ ἐπίγειος καὶ ὑπόγειος : cf. also the horoscope ib. 130 .4 (i/ii A.D.)
