νεφέλη / ὁμίχλη [pages 425, 448] νεφέλη νεφέλη is used metaphorically in Kaibel 375 .2 ἔθανον λοιμοῦ [νε ]φ [έλῃ ] καταλη [φ ]θείς . The editor regards λοιμοῦ νεφέλη as vox vulgaris . . apud Asianos, For νεφέλαι as the vehicle on which the quick and the dead are wafted to meet the returning Lord, see Milligan on 1Th_4:17 , and add that the later Jews called the Messiah the Son of the Cloud (Hort Apoc. p. 12). With the constr. in 1Co_10:1 cf. P Lond 46 .266 (iv/A.D.) ( = I. p. 73) ὑπὸ τὴν τοῦ ἀέρος νεφέλην . ὁμίχλη For this NT ἅπ . εἰρ . ( 2Pe_2:17 ) = mist, cf. the magical P Par 574 .3023 f. ( c.
