CPR I. 27 .10 (A.D. 190) ἔσοπτρον δίπτυχον : cf. the restoration in ib. 21 .20 (A.D. 230). In a list of articles of furniture in the fragmentary P Oxy VI. 978 (iii/A.D.) we find mention of an ὄσοπτρον ( l. ἔσοπτρον ), and in a return of temple property, P Oxy XII. 1449 .19 (A.D. 213 7), of ὄσυπτρον ( l. ἔσοπτρον ) ἀργ (υροῦν ) π [αιδικ (όν ), a silver mirror for a child.
