Thayer's Greek Lexicon

ἑπτά, οἱ, αἱ, τά, seven: Mat_12:45; Mat_15:34; Mar_8:5; Luk_2:36; Act_6:3, etc.; often in the Apocalypse; οἱ ἑπτά, namely, διάκονοι, Act_21:8. In Mat_18:22 it is joined (instead of ἑπτάκις) to the numeral adv. ἑβδομηκοντάκις, in imitation of the Hebrew ωΖΡαΗς , Psalm 118:164 (); Pro_24:16; (see ἑβδομηκοντάκις, and cf. Keil, Commentary on Matthew, the passage cited).

Mounce Concise Greek Dictionary

ἑπτά hepta 88x seven, indecl. numeral, Mat_15:34 ; Mat_15:37 ; by Jewish usage for a round number, Mat_12:45 ; Luk_11:26 seven.

Moulton & Milligan — Vocabulary of the Greek NT

ἑπτά [page 252] As we have no fresh light from our sources, it lies outside our sphere to discuss the uses of this number in the NT, but reference may be made to the notes by Allen on Mar_16:9 , and by Moffatt (in EGT ) on Rev_5:1 . Note also Act_12:10 D κατέβησαν τοὺς ζ̄ βαθμούς and Ev. Petr. 8 ἐπέχρισαν ἑπτὰ σφραγῖδας . MGr ἑφτά shows the aspirate in compensation for the loss (in pronunciation) of the rough breathing.

Liddell-Scott — Intermediate Greek Lexicon

ἑπτά "seven", Lat. septem, Hom. , etc.

STEPBible — Tyndale Abridged Greek Lexicon

ἐπτά, οἱ, αἱ, τά indecl., seven: Mat.12:45 18:22 (cf. ἑβδομηκοντάκις), Mrk.8:5, al.; οἱ ἐ, Act.21:8 (AS)
