ἐκδοχή is used = interpretation in P Par 63 .86 (B.C. 164) (= P Petr III. P. 24) παιδαριώδη τὴν τοῦ προστάγματος ἐ̣γδοκὴν ποιησαμένους , after having made the interpretation of the decree puerile, Syll 256 .18 ( c. B.C. 200) τὴν ἐκδοχὴν τοῦ χρησμοῦ ταύτην λαβόντες . We have no light to throw upon the use of ἐ . = προσδοκία in Heb_10:27 , the only place where it occurs in the NT, but see s.v. ἐκδέχομαι and cf. Field Notes , p. 231.
