ἐκβολή [page 191]
With the use of ἐκβολὴν ποιεῖσθαι = jettison in Act_27:18 , cf. the directions on the back of a mummy-ticket, Preisigke 2052, ἐκβολὴν ποιῆσαι ἰς ὅρμον κώμης Ἔμμαυ : so ib. 1207. In P Hib I. 110 recto .9 ( c. B.C. 270) the word is found in a very broken context, and in BGU IV. 1116 .13 (B.C. 13) we have ἐ̣π̣ι̣βολῆς καὶ ἐγβολῆς .
