The verb is found in no. 3 of the first discovered collection of Λόγια Ἰησοῦ , P Oxy I. p. 3, λέγει Ἰ (ησοῦ )ς Ἔ [σ ]την ἐν μέσω̣ τοῦ κόσμου καὶ ἐν σάρκει ὤφθην αὐτοῖς καὶ εὗρον πάντας μεθύοντας καὶ οὐδένα εὗρον δειψῶντα ἐν αὐτοῖς κτλ .
