The noun occurs in BGU IV. 1026 .15 (magical text, iv/v A.D.) αἱμάροιαν ἰᾶται following a spell from Homer, described as αἱμαροικόν ( Il. 1 .75 ). Thumb ( BZ xxii. p. 489) compares αἱματορροῦσα hemorrhage in MGr (Rhodes).
