Proleg., p. 116; WHs Appendix, p. 156), Gomorrah (ςΗξΙψΘδ, cf. ςΗζΘΜδ Gaza), the name of a city in the eastern part of Judaea, destroyed by the same earthquake (cf. B. D. under the word Sea, The Salt) with Sodom and its neighbor cities: Gen_19:24. Their site is now occupied by the Asphaltic Lake or Dead Sea (cf. BB. DD., see under the words, and ): Mat_10:15; Mar_6:11 R L in brackets; Rom_9:29; 2Pe_2:6; Jud_1:7.
