He quotes Sallust περὶ θεῶν 4, where milk, the new birth, and crowns are all mentioned together ἑορτὴν ἄγομεν διὰ ταῦτα . . . ἐπὶ τούτοις γάλακτος τροφή , ὡς ἀναγεννωμένων · ἐφ᾽ οἷς ἱλαρεῖαι καὶ στέφανοι καὶ πρὸς τοὺς θεοὺς οἷον ἐπάνοδος .
