( Jas_3:11 ) may be added its occurrence quinquiens in the recently discovered poems of Bacchylides, e.g. III. 15 f. βρύει μὲν ἱερὰ βουθύτοις ἑορταῖς , βρύουσι φιλοξενίας ἀγυιαί , the temples are rife with festal sacrifice of oxen, the streets with hospitable feasting (Jebb). Herwerden Lex. s.v. cites also Timotheus Pers. 221 βρύων ἄνθεσιν ἥβας .
