The Great Cost of Unbelief - Part 4

Touch our flesh. Now look up here. Why is it that you see preachers who preach so harsh, so clear, so tough in the first 5, 6, 7 years of the ministry? Why is it when they come to the 25th year of the ministry, 36th year of the ministry, they turn down? And they cannot preach those high, revealed messages from God anymore.

Why? Is something new? You look at your ministry, and you look at what you have been preaching and saying, and all these years, year 1, year 2, year 3, 4, 5, year 10, year 20, year 21, year 22, you have been emphasizing, you shall be holy unto the Lord. And the more you talk on holiness, and the more you talk on sanctification, and the more you talk on removal of the stony heart, and the more you talk on the new heart, and the new spirit, and the heart of flesh, the more and the harder the people are getting. Eventually most of the preachers, majority, probably 90% or more of the preachers, the ministers will say, there's no point.

There's no point talking about holiness, there's no point talking about sanctification, there's no point talking about a new heart. The more we talk about, if you look at what we see, and then the Lord gives you the message, and say, Lord, why don't you just raise up a new ministry, a younger ministry, and the people that have not had any disappointment in ministry, and give them this kind of message, because this one here does not know, does not believe, does not believe. God knows, Father, you know.

And He knows His plan. He knows His covenant. And He knows the only one necessity, that will take you to heaven.

And so God called Jeremiah, God called Ezekiel, and said, Ezekiel, don't be tired, I'm going to send you a message to Israel. Go tell them, I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you.

I will take the stony heart out of your flesh. I will give you a new heart of flesh. If the stones are seven, I will put my spirit within you.

If you don't believe, there's a great cost. The people that say, what point is there in saying something when other people are not going to accept? The point is, it's good to say something that God has said. It's good to declare what God Himself has given you to declare.

It's good to go with the message that God Himself has proclaimed. And the moment you believe, it will be done. I said, it will be done.

And He says, they shall keep my judgment. So do them a covenant. In Luke chapter 1, Luke chapter 1 verse 72, in Luke chapter 1 verse 72, to perform the mercy promised to our fathers.

And to remember His holy covenant. And to remember His holy covenant. The oath which I swear to our father Abraham, that he will grant unto us that we be delivered out of the hands of our enemies, my servants.

How? How? Without fear. I will declare something like that. Here is Zechariah.

And he himself, if you look at the earlier chapter of Luke chapter 1, he was in the temple serving the Lord. All of a sudden, an angel appeared unto him. And then he became afraid in the service of the Lord.

He was right in the midst of the service. And fear overwent him. And the angel said, fear not.

I've come to tell you that your prayers are held as a memorial. How do you tell a person in the same chapter that just held such a great prayer while serving God? You've given the message, go and declare to the people, I'm going to fulfill my covenant in you. And you will serve the Lord without fear.

Oh, you will say, how am I going to do that? Because I myself, when the angel appeared, I know what I felt in my spirit, in my heart. A way of unbelief. There's a great cost of unbelief.

When the Lord sends you with a message, go, declare the message, and the Lord will do what He has said He will do in Jesus' name. And then in verse 75, in holiness and righteousness, before Him, all the days of our lives. I must ask you another question now.

Why do people refuse to preach something that they have never seen done? What do you mean by that? I'm thinking about the children of Israel from the time we know them in their history. Was there any time when one year, the whole mission, two years, the whole mission, 10 years, the whole mission, 70 years, the whole mission, when they never did anything wrong and they served the Lord in holiness and righteousness, all the days of their lives. It's not just going to be an isolated Enoch.

And it's not going to be an isolated Joshua. It's not going to be an isolated Samuel. It should not be an isolated Daniel.

In the land of Israel, the whole mission, here is my covenant and this is what I'm going to do. You know, sometimes when you hear something like that, it's too good to be true. How can God sanctify this whole congregation, unless you despise and wonder and perish.

When God says He can do something, He can do what He says He can do. I swear He can do what He says He can do. Because with God, all things are possible.

The moment you align yourself with the Word of God and say, Lord, I don't know how you are going to do that. I don't know if that will take place, but here is what you are saying, that your covenant will make the people to serve you without fear in holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives. Can it happen to you? It will happen.

The moment you say, yes, the promise is great, the promise is even almost unbelievable, this is incredible, what God says He will do, I accept, I believe, with my God, all things are possible. And then you say, Lord, I know you are mindful of your covenant. Every time God watches over His covenant, you are mindful of your covenant.

Help me also to be mindful of your covenant. I'm reading Psalm 111. And you see God's attitude to His covenant.

In Psalm 111, verse 5, He has given me unto them that fear He will ever be mindful of His covenant. Didn't He make a covenant to give you one heart, one will, He will be mindful forever of His covenant. Didn't He say that He is going to take the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

He says He is mindful of His covenant. Didn't He say deliver you from the hands of your enemies that you might serve the Lord without fear. He is ever mindful of His covenant.

Didn't He say that you will serve the Lord in holiness, righteousness, all the days of your life. He will ever be mindful of His covenant. If you are mindful of that covenant, if you will put your heart, your mind into that covenant, like Glenn Mitchie God Himself puts His mind on the covenant, then it will happen to you.

In 1 Chronicles chapter 16, 1 Chronicles chapter 16, I'm reading there from verse 15. Be ye mindful always of His covenant. Be ye mindful always of His covenant.

He gives us the covenant and He tells us the terms of the covenant, the conditions of the covenant, the promise in the covenant, the provision.
