Oh, yeah, right, but I we didn't believe that I mean, come on remember he spoke to you and he said the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be Crucified and the third day he will rise again Remember remember and that just really stood out this week the power of remembrance The power of remembrance. Do you know how powerful remembering is? Remembrance if you take a couple who's having a challenging marriage and you can just tell them remember when you guys first fell in love Remember the fire and the intimacy you loved each other do anything for each other what happened? Remember that you tell a prodigal son remember when you first loved the Lord Remember when the Bible what you couldn't get enough of it and worship was was so sweet You could worship for hours on end Remember the fire of God remember the power and presence and come back to that stop eating with the pigs Prodigal son and come home. Remember the power of God to change your life Jesus even rebuked the church in Revelation remember from where you have fallen in return come back to the living God the vibrant relationship Remember get your mind focused back on how good and perfect it was to dwell in unity and to see God with all your heart The power of remembrance Chain remember remember what I did before and what I can do again Remember how I brought you through the furnace of affliction remember you should have been dead and buried a long time ago But for some some way somehow that a car accident didn't kill you Those guns point that you didn't take you out Remember what I did for you and Of course remember what I promised. Oh if we could spend more time in God's Word than watching CNN, we would be so much better All right, I'll say if we can watch it we can be in God's Word more than watching Fox News for the other side I'll I'll throw that in there, too any any news outlets That are owned mainly by ungodly people with ungodly Agendas if we could remember the promises of God and the problem the nation's falling apart The church is falling apart because the church doesn't remember the promises of God if my people who are called by my name Will humble themselves and pray and seek my face like never before I will heal their land and that doesn't mean come to church once A month and turn on Christian radio now and then and fit God on your calendar that verse means he's an all-consuming passion He's an all-consuming fire and we seek him with all of our heart with all of our strength We're gonna come we're gonna cry down on that It's altar until fire comes and God begins to devour the pride and the arrogance of our hearts. Oh God We will not stop until we find you That's what it has to look like the promises of God if you seek me you will find me when I talk about seeking God It's not just a half-hearted approach The word is it's it means it's Bacchus and if you break it down the Hebrew language it talks about you lose something very valuable and You have to find it How would you look for it after the first service I get text my wife says hey, I can't find her four-year-old Well, well, you know shoot well, let me get through the second service first I've got some baptisms then we'll look around one o'clock. That's why many people are not seeking God They fit them on their calendar if it's convenient We actually I think we stopped the church service or almost did in Lancaster because we couldn't find one of the kids What are we gonna do? I'll go home No, you have to find that thing of value so think about that if you Seek me With some of your heart if you seek me with all of your heart with all of your strength with all of your soul with all of your mind you will find me could it be that many of you are half-heartedly seeking God and that's why The blessings not coming. I'm not talking about financial blessing this area, but the blessing of knowing God intimately having a deep relationship with him having the Holy Spirit come upon you and Profoundly speaking God's Word and his work coming alive in your own hearts the power of remembering the power of remembering Sometimes it gets me through church like it did today not really wanting to feeling you know Sometimes depression comes upon all of us and just not wanting to go through things and but Lord I remember Lord You called me to do this. This isn't Shane I don't let me get up here and speak in front of people see what I can do Yeah, I didn't call myself you called me So Lord remember your promise to me that you will anoint me and have your work come alive upon the hearers and in my own Personal heart Lord remember and you go back to remembering all the power of remembrance the power of remembrance You
