Hallelujah. Bless God. Praise God. It's good to know today folks that the Lord is a shield to us. It's good to know today that he is our defender. There is the opposer but we have a defender today. I have been looking at Psalm 23 and just seeking God to see if I can pull out some things through the help of God to encourage you, to lift you up. And I wanted to do that today and I really feel strongly today that the Lord has placed something on my heart, very strongly in my spirit to convey to you, to warn some of you. The last time I just briefly touched on from Psalm 23 in verse 4, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. And I just want to briefly for a few minutes just start from there again and share with you what I believe the Lord has placed upon my heart. You see with every dark path to tread, indeed there is much that lurks in the darkness. There is no doubt that the predator lurks within the darkness to attack. Scripture tells us about the devil like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. There are many traps that are there and present within darkness to cause a stumbling. So again the scripture says, Yea, though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death. That word shadow, when we think about it, what causes a shadow? Well, basically some sort of object that prevents the light getting through, that cuts off the light. And so it makes me think today, what are the objects that cause shadows of sin, so to speak, in our lives? You see, when we look at what Paul says to Timothy in 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy, Paul talks about the snare of the devil. The snare of the devil. And that word snare actually means, it brings to our mind, snares in which birds are entangled and caught. Entangled and caught. And it's unexpected and it's sudden. And basically those birds didn't see it coming. And here's what I believe the Lord wants to say to some of you today. Satan is devising, Satan is plotting at this time in the hope to entangle, in the hope to catch you. And here's what I believe God wants to highlight. Because Paul says in Philippians 3, look out for the evildoers. Look out for the evildoers. And God wants to highlight that scripture. Not every trap is easy to see. As we very well know, we think of hunters. And hunters can create traps and they camouflage, indeed, those traps. And I do believe today that the devil is preparing a trap in good. Let me reiterate that. The devil is preparing a trap that is camouflaged in good. You see, not every object that causes a shadow is intrinsically evil. We know that. I looked out of my front door today and I saw a great shadow. What caused that shadow? What was the object? It was my house or car. And as we very well know, a house or a car is not intrinsically evil. And I do believe the Lord wants to say today that someone is coming to present you with something that looks and seems good. But it's camouflaged with good when in reality it's a trap of the devil. And God wants to say to some today, investigate or there will be an entanglement. Investigate what you're offered and how you investigate. Test by truth and by truth alone. Test by truth and by truth, indeed, alone. It's good to know, guys, that we have a God that, as it were, watches our back, that forewarns, that gives us heads up. It's good to know that we have the scriptures which are, indeed, a lamp onto our feet and a light onto our path. This morning when I was thinking about the scriptures, this was not on my heart. But as I began to ponder and meditate, I sensed again the Spirit of the Lord begin to open this up. And I wanted to be obedient to the Lord and share this with you. But keep your eyes peeled. Be vigilant at this time. Watch and pray. God bless you, guys.
