The Parable Of The Rich Fool

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God, Amen. It is Luke, chapter 12, verses 14 to 16 to 34 inclusive. The Lord is sending a very profound message as always. And this profound message is a reminder of who truly we are as human beings outside the circle of God.

This profound message is about humans and their truthful status outside the presence of God in their life. He starts by giving this message about a rich man, where his land gave him an abundance of crops, produce. And then that night, that rich man sat down between him and himself, between himself.

He started thinking like every human being thinks. And he said, Saul, the land has given you produce abundantly. What shall I do? The barns are not big enough to cater for the produce that happened this year.

This is what I will do. I will start extending them, making them bigger so they can cater for the entire produce. And then I'll gather them all, put them in those barns.

Your soul or your spirit will be taken away from you. What are you going to do with all of these plans that you have considered in a very genius slash foolish way? Greed, the human dilemma. When you look around you, especially in our time and age, this has happened along the human race, along the human history.

The Lord is saying, this question is the question to every other question that could ever come your way. If you are able to answer this question only, you would end up answering every other question you could ever dream or think of coming your way. What does it benefit a man if he gains the whole world and at the end loses himself? Can you answer this question? The Lord is asking.

This rich man, he was in search of gaining the whole world. But that's an absolute foolishness in its call. An absolute foolishness in its call.

The problem is everyone knows when they reach a level of understanding. Every human being knows, this is not just Christians, this is humanity. Every human being knows when they begin to understand, comprehend what is happening around them, they all know they will die one day.

Yet knowing this fact and the irony of this all, this fact which no human can ever do anything about it. We cannot stop death, no matter what we do. Obviously there are some people who are as fools as this rich man in the gospel of today.

Think they can live forever on earth. They can be God on earth. What came from God, no one can change, no one can stop, no one can remove.

Only God can. Who gave the command for death to come and conquer the human race? God. Adam, the day you eat from the forbidden tree, surely you shall die.

They don't believe in His existence. So when God gave that produce, He meant for that rich man, number one, to thank God. Number two, to share God's gift and blessings with those who are in need.

Charbel's Church at punchbowl to my shocking to our shocking surprise the church was closed I've never seen that church closed that time was closed the gates to the church were closed I don't know what what was happening I got so upset I said this is the enemy playing tricks with my head I thought it was the voice of the Lord or someone is talking but he tricked me the church is closed the Lord wouldn't do that the Saints wouldn't do that I was upset for the first time ever and I used to go there a lot for the first time ever you know that there's a street that climbs up you go up where the school is you go up yeah for those who are familiar with the area yeah so for the first time I've always been to St. Charbel's Church but I've always entered through the front like the car park the main car park always entered through there and left through there never came through the side street and and and drove up all the way this time something in me said just drive up I drive up all the way I should have just made a u-turn in front of the church since it was closed make a u-turn and go back no something pushed me to drive all the way up I drove all the way up for the first time ever I encounter a Coptic Church at the top of that little hill oh I looked the front gate opened I said oh all right Marshal Bill what's going on so I said mom I'm gonna park let's go down it's a church no difference this church that church no difference so we came down we walk into the church the church is empty but the smell of the incense was still there it looks like they they finished their Holy Mass service but it was empty we came inside to say a prayer I see a full urban body of Christ placed at the altar area in a way you would never ever place that urban in that way there was just a wooden like fence at the altar area that urban was placed on there no priest no deacon no one no one I said mom what is this said yeah we had we didn't have Holy Communion for a long time I was going through some rough seas I was afraid to go and grab it I said um I can't I don't have that authority while we were thinking shall we take it shall we not because I was dying to get some a young man walks in he was just packing up he happened to be a deacon I asked him I said excuse me said yes I said that urban over there can I have a piece of it he said what are you talking about I said the urban over there he turns he says what is this doing here he said the priest I was in the service with the priest everything was taken away everything was taken away who brought this here said he got scared he said so looks like was meant to be for you you can have it definitely not from the priest not from the Holy Mass service I was there he made sure everything was backed up and secondly we don't leave the urban like that you know what the Lord taught me my shareable is Catholic yeah and the eyes of the world the other saint is Coptic Orthodox st.
