Serving God the Right Way Wisdom

Some people serve in the house of the Lord to gain personal benefits from it. Why? Because they haven't given themselves to Christ for him to be in control of that person. That's why they end up being religious people, judgmental people, seeing other people's mistakes except themselves.

And a person that never sees their own mistake, the Lord says, since you don't see your own mistakes, I don't even see you. I don't recognize you. Did the Lord do it? Yes.

Matthew 25, where the Lord Jesus gives the parable of the 10 virgins, five wise and five unwise. The five unwise came after the door was shut. They knocked at the door.

They said, Lord, open the door for us. In your name we preached. In your name we healed people.

Meaning they served. They did serve. They did serve in the house of the Lord.

But what did the Lord say and reply to them? He said, away from me, you evil doers. How? But they just said, in your name we preached and in your name we healed and we did wonders and miracles. He said, you did it for your own personal benefits, not for me.

Since you've done it for your own benefits, I don't know you. Away with you. A true servant of the Lord is the one who sees his or her own mistakes, never the others.

Is focused on their own smell, not others. That is a true servant. The Lord does not seek educated people.

The Lord does not seek wise people. He seeks people who see their own mistakes, not others. In other words, to be a successful servant in the house of the Lord, the first thing the Lord will ask of you is to be humble.

Humility judges its own self, never others. Humility judges its own self, never others. And since we judge ourselves, God will not judge us.

But if we don't judge ourselves, then God is left with no other choice but to judge us. My beloveds, the Lord says, give me all of you so that I can teach you how to be a true servant in my house. The first mistake or the first sin ever took place in heaven was the sin of pride.

And that's where this angel, who was one of the highest rank in the angelic orders, called the cherubims. He was a cherub. Now he's called satan.

So satan was an angel of God in the highest angelic order, the cherubims. And when you read in the holy bible, the old testament, they will tell you about the cherubims. They will tell you that they were filled with eyes inwardly and outwardly.

They were filled with eyes. And the eye in the holy bible represents knowledge, meaning this cherub was all knowledge, was all knowledge, very wise. But pride engulfed him and from the highest level fell down to the lowest level, from the angel of God to a foul spirit, totally rejected by God.

God cannot work in someone that is boastful of themselves, have self-exaltation, self-false glory. When somebody has too much pride in themselves, God cannot work. Why? Because God in his nature is humble.

God in his nature is humble. And pride is the enemy of God. And pride is the enemy of the spirit.

Pride is the enemy of your spirit. Because what made that angel, which they are all spirits, what made them fall was pride. And the opposite to pride is humility.

And the Lord says, you can never serve until you're humble. Why? Because if I am not able to lower myself, how can I serve others? A boastful person, a self-exalted person can never lower themselves before others. That's why they can never serve.

They always expect others to serve them. And when you think that you are higher and better than others, you will always look at other people's faults and point them out like this Pharisees and the scribes did to the Lord Jesus. They pointed out the disciples' faults.

And what was their fault? They ate bread with unclean hands. For God's sake, man, can you get a life? Their hearts are filthy and they're worried about dirty hands. Incredible.

The Lord says, you need to come and give me yourself and let me fix you and make you worthy of my service. Of my service. My beloveds, I pray that you pray and ask the Lord to give you this gift where you see your faults and your faults only.

Because that's a gift. I pray that you pray and ask the Lord Jesus to make you focus on your own mistakes, not people around you. When the Lord says, I seek mercy, not a sacrifice, the priest comes on this holy altar and offers the sacrifice which is the ultimate, the body and the blood of Christ.

And laity faithfuls who do not have a rank in the church to come up on the holy altar, they come to church and they also offer a sacrifice. And what is the sacrifice you offer? Time. You see, you could have spent this time elsewhere.

You could have gone elsewhere and spend this hour or two and when the bishop is preaching, five hours, right? So you could have spent those five hours elsewhere, but you chose to spend those that time with the Lord. So what did you do? You sacrificed your time and you gave it to the Lord instead of to someone else. So in the general sense, you are also priests, but in the general sense, not in the specified specific sense.

So you offered also a sacrifice, but the Lord says, I seek mercy before a sacrifice. Meaning, the Lord is saying to all of us, when you think of coming to my house, when you think of coming to me, approaching me, you need to come with this kind of a heart, with this kind of a mind, with this kind of a focus, that you are coming for me and me only, no one else. That's number one.

And when you are coming for me, then you better come with mercy in your heart because if there is no mercy on your heart, if you give all your time for me, I will not acknowledge it. So some people will say, I've been going to church all my life, nothing changed. You know why nothing changed? Because you didn't have the mercy of the Lord in your heart.

And what is the mercy? Mercy of the Lord is, you were not able to serve your brother and your sister in the house of the Lord because you had too much pride of yourself. You thought you were better than them. All the time you spend in the house of the Lord was in vain.
