Why are we fighting over the world? Why are we chasing the world if it's a desert? We don't belong to the desert. We don't fight over it. It's not our home.
Our home is Christ, the Lord. That's where we belong. So what is the desert? It's a journey in through.
I'm a tourist. I'm passing by and that's all it is. This world is a place where I'm passing through it to the next realm.
I am transiting through this world. I'm a tourist. I don't belong to this world, my beloveds.
Because at the end of this world, the end of it is all vanity. At the end is all vanity. What does the world give us at the end? One and a half, if you are tall, two meter by half a meter, a hole in the ground.
That's what the world will give everyone, a grave. That's what you're going to get out of the world if you chase it. At the end, it's a grave.
But when you seek the Lord, the Lord will make sure that grave is empty. You go in it, but the Lord will raise you. It's an empty one.
Because he decided to belong to Christ, not the world. He'll make sure the world will not swallow you forever. He'll bring you out on the third day.
Amen. Come on, don't worry about materialistic things. My beloved daughter, if you're married or about to get married, don't argue with your fiance.
Don't argue with your husband. I need a diamond ring. If you don't bring me a 50, 100,000 diamond ring, I'm not going to marry you.
What kind of a love is that is based on materialistic things? Love should be based on Christ, the King. You love your husband because of the Lord and the husband loves you, should be because of the Lord. Nothing else, no one else, especially your mother-in-law.
It has to be built on the Lord Jesus. The world is a desert for a true Christian, for a true believer in the Lord Jesus. The world is a desert.
That's why we get burned by the world. The world hates Christ who dwells in us. Hates that Lord Jesus because Satan hates only one.
He hates Jesus, no one else. Talk about anyone else, no problem. The moment you invoke the name Jesus Christ, all hell breaks loose.
All hell breaks loose. Why? Because Satan knows nobody overcame him except Jesus Christ of Nazareth. All glory and honor and worship to his holy and mighty name.
It is only Jesus that put Satan to shame forever. That's why he cannot stand him and whoever carries the true Messiah cannot stand you either. He will come after you but don't worry.
In the name of the Lord, you will step on Satan. You will step on Satan. Love the Lord.
Love the Lord from the heart. So while she's in the desert in this world, Satan is tanning her, is burning her. The world is against her.
People are going against you. My own flesh is weak and is going against me. So I found a mountain in the middle of this desert and this mountain, we see it in Daniel chapter 2 verses 31 to 35.
Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, he saw a dream, a vision with this massive statue and then he saw a stone cut out without hand, cut out without hand and this stone came and struck the feet of this statue and decimated the entire statue. Then this stone became a mighty mountain that covered the whole earth. This stone cut out without hand is the virginal birth of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
That virginal birth and the second coming will be the mountain covering the whole world, i.e. he will conquer over every tongue, nation, language, color, race. He is the ruler over all for he is God revealed in the flesh. This mountain that she found in the desert is Jesus Christ of Nazareth that decimated the statue which Satan built through Nebuchadnezzar.
When she came to this mountain, she found a small opening in the side of this mountain. So she ran into that small opening, a small cave and hid from the heat of the sun. Finally, there is shade.
Finally, there is cover. Finally, there is protection. Sun cannot strike me anymore.
The sun cannot turn me anymore. The sun cannot make me fall anymore. The mountain is Christ and the side in the mountain is the pierced side of the Lord Jesus when he was hanging on the cross.
That small opening on the side of the Lord Jesus is where we all ran and hid ourselves in from the son of Satan, from the son of people trying to hurt us and from the son of my own flesh weaknesses. From the side of the Lord, two things came out, blood and water. Blood for the Holy Eucharist, body and blood and water for holy baptism.
The two sacraments that are so foundational, so foundational, blood for the Holy Eucharist and water for the holy baptism. Now, what did baptism give me? New birth. I am born again through the sacrament of the holy baptism.
New birth. What is the new birth? I am no longer that old Adam. I am born in the new Adam, Jesus Christ of Nazareth because the old Adam made me fall into sin.
The old Adam broke God's word. The old Adam did everything wrong under the sun but the new Adam, Jesus Christ, fulfilled every law of God to the core. Baptism gave me a new birth from above.
I am born in Christ Jesus. New birth, new life, new being. No longer that sinful nature of the former Adam but the righteous and holy nature of the latter Adam, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
The Holy Eucharist gave me two things, forgiveness of sins after I'm baptized and inheritance of God's kingdom which is greater. Forgiveness of sins and the inheritance of the kingdom. I read you this verse, Saint Paul is addressing the people of Corinth.
First Corinthians 15 50. First Corinthians 15 50. Look what Saint Paul is saying.
Now this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Now let me say this, brethren, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God nor does corruption inherit incorruption. How do you inherit the kingdom of God? Through incorruptibility.
Through incorruptibility. Every single human being's body and blood is corrupt. Why are we corrupt? Because we are all sinners.
Meaning sinners cannot inherit the kingdom of God because through sin their body and their flesh and blood became corruptible and what is corruptible cannot inherit the kingdom of God which is incorruptible. But there is only one body and blood that is incorruptible and that is the body of blood of Christ. So when you come and receive the body and the blood of Christ you are inheriting the kingdom of God because it takes the incorruptible body and the incorruptible blood to inherit the incorruptible kingdom.
There is only one body and blood that is incorruptible and that is the body and the blood of Christ. Every time you receive the holy communion you are entering the kingdom of God. Eternal life.
And that is a topic on its own. That is a topic on its own. If we were to understand the magnitude and the importance and the significance of the body and the blood we would have come to church every single day.
Every single day. Sometimes we say bishop or father you know I would have come to church but I'm so busy. You know when you are desperate for something don't you drop everything and just go and get that something.
And when you are desperate for someone to come to your rescue don't you drop everything and all of a sudden you have all the time under the sun to go and see that someone. Prior to that they asked you a million times please we want to see you. Look I would love to come but I'm so busy.
I wish I had the time. But now that you are desperate for them you will make sure everything else ceases for you to be able to see them. Why don't we take it in this way and drop everything for the sake of the Lord Jesus.
Let me tell you coming to church now listening to a bible preach i.e the word of the Lord Jesus you have no idea how much the Lord is happy. You have no idea. And let me tell you another thing it wasn't you who chose and decided to come.
It wasn't your family member who said let's go together. It wasn't your friend, your cousin. It was not anyone.
It was the Lord himself. He called you. He called you through your mom, through your dad, through your husband, through your wife, through your brother, sister, cousin, friend.
But it was the Lord. Now since you are here guess what that is enough proof for you not to ever have doubts that the Lord still loves you. Don't ever doubt it.
You see if he did not love you none of us would have been here. I cannot show you. Believe you me there is no power that can bring you to church if it wasn't the Lord's love for you.
