We're on our way to Reverend Luke Martin's church. He's one of the greatest preachers. He can preach with the big men that I know, and I was on my way and had my baby brother internal Reverend and now in Washington DC, he was with me.
And he was leading the singing and we had to stop along the road just a few miles before we arrived at the church with a flat tire right rear. And it was kind of a slant like this. I'm talking about following Jesus, having Jesus to help you.
And lead you and warn you and tell you what to do. And that car, he had it jacked up and he was getting the lugs off. And I said, Oh, Jesus, tell me there's something terribly wrong.
He said, well, there's nothing wrong. I can't see a thing. Jack's fine.
No, I said, but he's telling me something is badly wrong. Well, he said, it won't take but a minute. He said, I can scoot this off and get the spare on.
I said, but be careful. It's getting worse. It's getting worse.
And suddenly it fell down. And if he hadn't heard what Jesus told me, he would have been crushed to death. I'm talking about following Jesus.
The logs were being cut in the woods for our home built by faith. It was the twelfth load. Now, the fellows that helped me, we'd never been loggers.
And I had to just go and see how it was done and get the skids and so on. So these men, ministers, many of them servants of God were with me. And we loaded twelve loads of logs and they didn't have any trouble.
But the twelfth load, they had all along but the last one in the top cut. And when they hooked onto that, Jesus spoke to me and I said, oh, there's something badly wrong. They said, there's nothing wrong.
It's just like it's been all these many, many times. I said, but it's different. They said, but look at all over it all.
I said, it doesn't make any difference how it looks. God's telling me something's not right. Now, the boys had always followed the logs up the skids so they wouldn't come up crooked, so they'd go into the cup just right.
You see? There'd be one man way over here and one over there and they would work together and they'd get that log so it would come up the skids together, right, level. I said, please don't follow it this time because Jesus tells me there's something badly wrong. They said, there isn't anything wrong.
We can see. We've investigated. And here had been all about twelve, fifteen, eighteen logs to the load.
And here was the last log of the twelfth load. They said, it's just fine. I said, but it isn't.
I said, Jesus tells me that there's something wrong. And one of that log came up that far from going into its cup, its place. She snapped on the other side and here it came down.
See, but it crushed these men. But following Jesus, following Jesus through his mercy, he says, now, this is not going to go right this time. It's gone right all the time until now.
I'm trying to encourage you to follow Jesus in speaking to souls. See, I had to wait for years to speak to my brother. I had to wait then, you see, for the Lord to teach me how he would reveal himself from the time of conversion to let him lead me.
He wants to lead everybody. The Bible says that the sons of God are led by the Spirit. That's Romans 8, 14.
For as many as are led by the Spirit, they are the sons of God. The Bible said that the sons of God are led by the Holy Spirit. It's God's will because Jesus said that you will be led and guided by his Spirit.
He said he will guide you into all truth. And so here he saved the lives of one or two men from being hurt or crushed. And all the 50 to 107 men that worked on our home built the faith.
Not one man had his finger crushed. And usually there were 1,100 pounds of nails put in that house. 1,100 pounds and not one man maced his finger in our house.
I know when I was roofing the house for my brother, I maced my finger. But in the home built the faith, God didn't let anybody be hurt. In the woods, anywhere.
The devil fought hard. We had terrible things to get through. Anything that God leads you in, the devil fights it furiously.
Everything that God leads, the devil fights. The power of the air fights. Now if God's not in it, it just goes along fairly smooth.
And you think this is surely grand. But what God does, the powers of this world oppose it. And he wants you to follow him.
Wouldn't it be modest if I could convince by God's grace someone to follow Jesus this morning? I mean really follow? Have you ever known anyone to follow Jesus? Faithfully? Continually? Continuously? Wholeheartedly? Completely? And truly? That's what Jesus wants. I've been looking for people that follow Jesus all over the world where I travel. In all the nations where I travel.
He's brought me across the United States, we don't know how many times in the last 37 years. And I'm looking for people that will truly follow Jesus. Not follow what they want, not follow what they like, but follow what the Holy Spirit says.
Now whenever you meet someone that follows what the Holy Spirit says, you have the inner witness with them. Right here. You have the inner witness.
The Holy Ghost gives you a fellowship in the Kingdom of God with those that walk with him. And this is what the whole world is trying to find. All of our young people, all of our older people are trying to find this great joy in Jesus.
And I need more of him because I don't have much of Jesus. I have so little of Christ. I have so little of God.
I have so little of the Holy Spirit. I am spiritually bankrupt. East End and Jones said they possess the Kingdom.
Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of God. Oh I'm so poor, I need more of your love. I have so little.
I'm so poor, I need more of your wisdom. I'm so poor, I need more of your grace. I need more of your knowledge.
I need more of your holiness. I am poor, I am a beggar. He said it's yours.
You take the person and say I'm pretty good, I'm about as good as anyone else. They miss the Kingdom of God. Yeah I do this and I do that.
I'm not too bad, I'm as good as anybody else. They miss the Kingdom of God. We don't enter the Kingdom of God by our merit.
We enter the Kingdom of God by obeying Jesus and following Christ. And loving everyone in all the world as Jesus loves us. Becoming like a little child.
He says follow me. Can you hear? When Jesus was here they couldn't hear what he said. There might have been one in thousands that could hear what he said.
There might have been one in thousands that could hear what Jesus said. In their heart. Because the heart is hard.
Our hearts are hard. Our heart is so tuned in to earthly things. Most men are so tuned in to earthly things.
If you get a message of Jesus they can't hear what he says. Their heart is hard. It's taken up with pleasure and lust.
And certain kinds of earthly cares. Certain kinds of earthly possessions. That the heart is so crested over.
It can't hear and hear what the Holy Spirit says. You say that explains a lot of things to me. That would tell all of you lots.
That's worth going around the world to know. That's a spiritual secret. And it's hardly in books.
Right. See we mortals are so closely connected with what we like. That our heart is so taken up with earthly tones.
And symphonies that we can't get tuned in to the heavenly message. The heavenly revelation. Jesus word.
Because we're so in the flesh. So in self. So in criticism.
You see if I have a critical spirit I can't hear what he says to me. I've got to be cleansed of that critical spirit. See if I have a lustful spirit I can't hear what he says.
You see if I have a rebellious spirit. You see he can't get through to me. Because of this spirit of rebellion.
Or pride. Or if I murmur. If I'm full of murmuring.
I can't get tuned in to what he wants. That's why he wants us to be a pure and a holy vessel. So that he can teach us from conversion.
To be inwardly slain to the self life. Be inwardly sanctified and pure. So his spirit can have full preeminence.
Because as long as you have hate. Or the slightest bit of hate. Or contention.
Or rebellion. Or any of those envious spirits or covetous spirits. Then we can't get the message.
We get the earthly message. We don't get the word from God in Christ. Yes.
This explains why. That many people have not walked with Jesus. Because we walked with man.
With flesh. He wants. He desires that we walk with him.
This is not complicated. This is simple as this. If we're willing to yield to Jesus.
And when you go with Jesus. I'll tell you you'll have a little bit of heaven to go to heaven in. I tell you God gives me a little bit of heaven right here.
Oh yeah. He says it's in his heart. It's in their heart up here.
They can tell we're having a little bit of heaven here. I go to a minister. I come in and I say we're here for revival.
But it's already in my heart. Jesus has been merciful and there's a revival in my heart. The peace and the joy and the love of Jesus Christ.
For all people in the world is in my heart. See I love all the peoples of the world. Everyone since the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Everybody. I'm not seeking out after manifestations. Or gifts or miracles.
But I'm seeking first the kingdom of God. And then God gives all those as he wills. I don't seek after things of earth.
Seek the things of Jesus Christ. And then he adds. As he can.
Trust you to give him all the praise and all the glory. And all the honor and all the thanks. For he must have all honor and all praise.
He said. Follow. Follow.
But we cannot follow. Only as we walk with him. The only way you can follow is to walk.
If you're going to follow someone you've got to walk. If you're going to follow you've got to walk. Following is walking after.
And I spoke about the first requirement. Is that it's possible. And I know that we have to read the Bible.
Pray, witness and obey. To keep the victory. If we don't do any one of those four.
We backslide in a matter of seconds to minutes. Or hours. Or days.
But I can see that without being willing in the heart. To obey Jesus. We're not going to follow him.
The cross is an absolute. He said. If a man is going to come out to me.
Let him take up the cross. And that cross is the life of obedience. So we follow Jesus not by ability.
Not on the limb of ability. Or on the limb of knowledge. Or on the limb of strength.
Or on the limb of know how. That's not the limbs we walk on. Following Jesus.
There's two spiritual limbs. That you walk on following Jesus. Just two spiritual limbs.
And they're simple. It's trust. And obey.
Trust. And obey. It's trust.
And obey. You're on the limb of trust most of the time. But God gives enough muscles in the thigh of it.
To keep you forever. Give you enough power in the calf of it. To sustain you always.
But you see while you're trusting. You're waiting on God. You're praising the Lord.
You're listening for his voice. And as soon as he gives you the leading. In your heart.
That's the time to obey. And you take the next step right after it. There you are.
Now you're trusting again. You're on the limb of trust. After you've taken that step of obedience.
And you're trusting. Praising him. And you're submissive.
And willing to obey him. And there as you wait. He's refining you.
And teaching you what you're like. And as you trust him. And pray for a few hundred hours.
A few thousand hours. He'll begin to teach you what's in your heart. And you'll be surprised.
And then you're on that limb of trust. Until the next time Jesus tells you. Like he told me to go on the rooftop.
Like he told me to go and do a certain thing. And when he does tell me what to do. I take the next step of obedience.
And there I am on that limb. And now I'm trusting. I'm trusting.
I'm waiting. I'm rejoicing. I'm not looking for circumstance.
Because the devil fights hard. The demons of hell are raging. You see if you walk with Jesus.
The devils will fight you so severely. Don't you give up. Keep rejoicing.
Because Jesus within you is greater than he is in the world. But when you walk with Jesus. The devil will oppose you.
And tempt you. And try you. Harass you.
And tell you you're not saved. That you really don't love God. That you're not worthy of Jesus.
He'll tell you the awfulest things you ever heard. And if you're going with the devil. He'll tell you you're not too bad.
You don't have anything to worry about. That's where the devil works. And that's what you're confronted with when you walk with Jesus.
But what God leads you to follow Christ. We wait until he gives us the guidance. I had to wait all those years to come to Thomas.
And Richard. And as soon as he gives me the guidance. I take my next step.
And I trust. Then when he gives me the guidance. I take my next step.
And I trust. Then when he gives me the guidance. You see the last obedience is the springboard to the next leading.
That's how we follow Jesus. We follow Jesus by trusting and obeying. Reading God's word.
Witnessing. And praying. And obeying him.
This is how we keep the victory. You see we cannot follow Jesus. Without these essentials.
Self denial. See self has to be denied. To take the first step after Jesus.
That's why many people of the order. Never have had that first step. Because the Lord says witness for me.
And self says no you're a nuisance. They'll think you're radical. Don't you say a word for Jesus.
They'll think you've gone off on the end of a lamb out there. The self of the devil will tell you the awful things. When you're converted.
And try to keep you from the will of God. From witnessing. I can see that only as you witness for Jesus.
Will you experience spiritual growth. As you ought. And begin to learn how to detect and realize.
The voice of Jesus Christ. If a person doesn't witness regularly. They will not realize or detect.
The voice of Jesus. They will smother it out. The voices of the earth will smother it out.
The voice of self will smother it out. All that will smother out the voice of Jesus. He says my sheep hear my voice.
This tells you why many people have never. Really walked with God. They've gone in a pattern.
They've gone in a certain idea. Something nice. Not committing adultery.
Stealing from banks or anything like that. But just walking in self. Jesus said follow me.
See I'm preaching this for eternity. See I know if I could convince two people. To really follow Jesus with all their heart.
It would be a miracle. It would be miracles. You say well do you get discouraged? No I don't look at that.
I look at Jesus. Because he's the one of them. I have great meetings in barnyards.
Cowsheds. Cathedrals. I don't know what it is to sing in Notre Dame and outside.
But I was as happy down at the barn yesterday. As I was in Notre Dame. I was just as happy as I was singing to Golden Order.
Toledo out of Madrid. I was just as happy down at the barn. As when I saw the Taj Mahal.
In full moon light. The Indian maiden that prayed for us to come to India. Has been to the Taj Mahal in Agra.
For seven times. And never could see the Taj Mahal in full moon. He told me to leave here September the 21st.
And we saw the Taj Mahal in full moon. We were tied to the day there. We've been to Jaipur.
We've been to Delhi for some days. Hadn't we? We've been various places. But you see he had it all timed.
So when we arrived at the Taj Mahal. Well James you were with us weren't you? We got to see it in full moon didn't we? See thousands, millions of people go there to see it. And never see it in full moon.
Because there's clouds. And here God has it all timed. He's had me tied over the world for 46 and a half years.
And I want to thank Him. Praise Him. By God's grace I can get out of the pulpit.
I can get to the room. I can get in the restroom. I can eat.
It's by God's mercies I can make it. But He wants you and me to walk with Him. Somebody has pain in the head right here.
And in the name of Jesus Christ. Would you be well for the glory of the Lord. Would you give Him the praise.
Because I don't know. Jesus knows. Would you give Him the thanks for taking this out.
This pressure. Either the nerves or the growth. But Jesus will be having all the praise for it.
All the honor. He said follow me. It's hard for me to stop preaching.
I don't want to have to anyhow. Because most people are used to getting out of church by 12. I just look and I see it is 12.
But I really don't go with the timepiece. On your wrist. I just go by the Holy Spirit.
The best I know how. I don't know very much about it really. But I'm having a wonderful time endeavoring.
Attempting. See I'm only just a little one. The least one he had.
And it is wonderful. I'll tell you this. And I would that you knew.
Of this glorious dream. Oh this wonderful dream. Is a secret of grace.
And I would that this secret you knew. For I dreamed at last. I shall look on his face.
And I know that my dream. Will come true. Oh that you.
Would follow Jesus. Follow Jesus. I have to press every moment to follow him.
I've got to die out. To myself and the earth to follow him. I've got to die out.
I just have to say. Jesus help me. You devil.
You're a liar. You can't. I'm going with God.
I'm following Jesus. It's a battle. It's a pressing of the kingdom of God.
That's why a few people. Have walked with him. The kingdom of heaven.
And the Father take it by force. In the days of John the Baptist. Until now the kingdom of heaven.
Is preached to every man. Press it. With all you have.
Give to the kingdom. It's worth everything. That's why we're born in the world.
And billions of people. Have been born on this earth. And never knowing the secret.
You are here this morning. Hearing the secret. Of what you're here for.
God has told us how to follow him. Only in the edge of the alpha. And if you will follow him.
You begin the romance and the thrill. And the adventure of the greatest thing. Of the ages.
I know we need God. I know. That unless we're under the anointing.
Of Jesus Christ. We do more damage. Than we do good.
That's why I cry out. For all those on radio and television. If they're not under the anointing.
Of Jesus Christ on television and radio. We do more damage than good. We've got to have the anointing.
Of the Holy Spirit. I've had people want me on television. On the radio.
And I said oh Jesus hasn't told me. He just walked me down this little corner place. Down on the low tracks.
He may send me up there one of these days. I don't know. But when he does.
He'll be with me. I'll lead him off, off, off. When I get there.
He's there. We'll have a wonderful time. It's a serious thing to have meetings.
And not have the Holy Spirit lead you. Duncan Campbell. Was told by a Puritan.
That he was going down the streets in London. And the devil was preaching the gospel. He was so shocked he couldn't believe it.
He could not believe it. He went up and he said you're the devil. And you're preaching the gospel.
Why would you do it? He said if I could preach the gospel. Without the anointing. I could do more damage than anything else.
So you see all the people on television. And radio. They've got to have a lot of help just like we do.
So that the Holy Ghost is in it. Because if the Holy Ghost isn't. It turns people off by the thousands and millions.
He tells me by the millions. He tells me now that if the gospel. Of the gospel of Jesus Christ is not under the anointing.
It turns the people's hearts off by the millions. Isn't that tragic? That's what he tells me. That's why we've got to be sure.
We're in the anointing of Jesus Christ. In the pulpit. In the home.
In the storeroom. In the drugstore. On the corner.
In the barn. In the cathedral. In the plane.
In the bus. In the storm or in the rain. In the trial.
Or the beauty of the victory. We must let him have full reign and preeminence. Follow me.
Follow Jesus. Oh Lord. Thank you for helping us again.
Amen. Thank you for the high privilege you've given me to walk with you. Amen.
Oh it's in my heart to talk with you. Thank you Heavenly Father, Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That you'd be so merciful.
That you'd take nothing, serve it like we are. That doesn't merit anything. It's nothing.
That you would kind of send to live in our heart. Thank you for these precious words to listen. I pray that they would surrender this morning.
And say yes to thee. And truly, truly, truly, rightly, really, for sure, deny self to follow. And not get into fanaticism.
Not go too far to go overboard. But maintain spiritual balance. And live in sweetness.
Rather than harshness. Because we people on the pulpit. And we people in the pews.
We've got to be awful careful so that we're not harsh. Or crusty. But that we're tender and gentle.
Only when the Spirit of the Lord comes on. In judgment. And be sure that it's Jesus.
Doing it. Instead of the earthly person. Oh we praise you Father.
For the Holy Spirit. Jesus that you sent to us. And Jesus I pray.
To be faithful to thee. And to all my friends. And bless my enemies today.
Because I know that my prayer goes instantly through. When I pray for my enemies. Because that's what you told all Christians to do.
That's one prayer that goes through the throne instantly. It's when we bless our enemies. And all your people have enemies.
But they never know who they are. At least I don't. Just love everybody.
Can't tell the difference between our friends or enemies if we have any. Because when we walk with thee. We love everybody the same.
We have respect to persons who commit sin. I thank thee for the Holy Spirit. And thy joy and peace.
And we pray for souls to be saved this morning. This afternoon. And for hearts to say yes to Christ.
Amen. Obedience is better than succor. It's hearkening than the fat of ram.
I'm thankful for his people. That is. Sensitive to his voice.
And to the work of the Holy Spirit. That we may walk with him in light. That he is able to work in you.
And my heart. That through you. And through your faithfulness.
To him. Many souls could be saved. As we trust him.
Each one of us. Trust and believe and obey him. It's urgent to obey.
Do exactly what the Holy Spirit lays on your heart. The cost of disobedience is very tremendous. And the cost is high.
The cost is great. And the cost is endless. Certain things you can pay for and have it over.
But every disobedience has a cost that never ceases to be. See when Israel disobeyed and cried out for a king. When it wasn't God's will for them to have a king.
He wanted to be their king. He wanted to lead them. Look at the disobedience of King Saul.
And his being out of order. And look at the cost. What it cost Israel.
Look at King David's life. And study it. And see if you can.
I know we can. The measure of the cost of his order to send Uriah in the heat of the battle. And the consequence of that terrible thing.
And married his wife. And look at her. Look at the offspring and what came out of it.
The cost of disobedience is immense. It's vast. It's immeasurable.
So you see I'm speaking to discourage every heart to disobey. I'm speaking to encourage every heart to mind God and take up the cross to follow Jesus. Because disobedience is leading to death and chaos.
And if we're only able to convince peoples of the church to obey, then the church will blossom and bloom and bear almonds. And bring forth. And God will bring in and change and transform and change lives.
Because only in the life of obedience can Jesus Christ be lifted up. He is lifted in a body of believers that obey Him. That is, they have heard His voice.
They have answered. They're following Him and obeying Him. That's when the kingdom of God comes.
But to disobey, you see, there is darkness and there is barrenness and conflict and murmurings and criticisms. But in the life of obedience there is joy and victory rejoicing and thanksgiving and in gatherings. The witch is marvelous.
The cost of disobedience is so much that it cannot be calculated. It's a costly thing to disobey the Lord, to disobey the Holy Spirit. They tell us of a man that God told him not to go to a certain place.
But he went on anyhow. And when he went down there he was in kind of a little accident and hit himself and there where he was bruised began to grow a cancer. And the cost of it was immense.
He wasn't supposed to go. He wasn't supposed to be there. When God spoke to Jonah and told him to go to Nineveh he chose to disobey.
He made the choice to go to Tarshish. It was a costly thing. It was a hard experience.
And so many persons since the days of Jonah have decided to go to their Tarshish rather than to God's assignment Nineveh. And every person that have decided to go where they want to go has placed everyone that was with them in a storm. Jonah's disobedience placed all about him in a terrible storm and a frightful experience.
Most disobedience brings a lot of repercussion. People say, I don't understand why this all happened. But if you go back to the root of it a lot of it is in disobeying what they were to do long ago.
Or some time ago. And so it's urgent for us to be sure we do as the Holy Spirit leads us. Be obedient not disobedient.
So Jonah went down to Tarshish but you're supposed to go to Nineveh. Nineveh. And here this terrible storm arose and the place the ship this voyage was one of danger.
And it caused such upheaval I don't know how many heart attacks was a result of it. I don't know how many nervous attacks was a result of it. I don't know how many people were hurt because of it.
In days to come. Just because one man said he was going to Tarshish. He was supposed to go to Nineveh.
Now I don't know how to tell you what would have happened if he had gone to Nineveh right away. I just don't know. Only the Holy Spirit knows.
Only God knows. What would have taken place if he would have been willing to go immediately to God's will. But he didn't.
His disobedience was costly. Fierce and furious. He brought a lot of suffering on people.
All disobedience brings untold suffering on people. Just think of everyone in the church of God. Everyone in every church that's been disobedient.
They have brought upon many suffering that people said would have averted it if he had only obeyed. And they're suffering because someone disobeyed. Five years ago, two days ago, ten years ago, twenty years ago.
If they'd obeyed, they would have been lifted up, got in the kingdom and missed all this trouble and missed death and missed heartaches and missed conflicts. And who got the right companions to the wrong one, if a person would have obeyed twenty years ago. Ten years ago.
And the others were, they didn't know what to do, but their life depended upon this man's obedience. And it just went on and on and on, and it never ends. Isn't that tremendous? Isn't this tremendous? You say, I never thought of that before.
Well, the Lord has brought it to my attention. You see, back twenty years ago, thirty years ago, God laid it on a man's heart, a woman's heart to do a certain thing. If they hadn't, it would have changed this brother's life, this sister's life, and then they, their obedience would have changed this community and this one would have changed that community.
This would have touched that state over there. This would have changed that condition way over here. That would have changed this church, cause it to be on fire, and after a while, I'll tell you, the kingdom would have collapsed.
Yes. Say twenty, thirty, forty years ago. Like tonight.
Today, if everyone would obey the Holy Spirit on their very own, it's untold wonder that it would have taken place out of it. Because we couldn't see here today what the effect would be. It would touch this life.
This life would touch that one over there in the city. That one would touch another one. Maybe the next would touch ten.
Maybe the next would touch a hundred. And then a thousand, and then a million, and more. If only we would obey and be faithful and consistent in the life of obedience.
But likewise, it's the reverse of disobedience. The cost is just as great in reverse. That's why our prisons are full.
That's why our hearts are broken. That's why many homes are all upset. It's because persons disobeyed Jesus, disobeyed the Holy Spirit.
That's why a lot of people are sick. That's why a lot of people are in trouble physically. It's because of disobedience long ago.
Boy, that hurts my heart. The cost of disobedience. Many children suffer.
They grew up suffering because of disobedience backed by a father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, a great-great-grandfather, a grandmother. The children have to suffer. And they say, I don't understand why just God would cause it.
It wasn't God's fault anyhow. They disobeyed a way back. Disobeyed a way back and brought the aftermath upon little ones.
That's why they're having brain trouble. Different kinds of trouble. It's because of situations a way back when we disobeyed God.
And we didn't know, didn't realize the cost of it was going to be so immense. Because it goes on and on and on. If you get a glimpse of this, it'll stir your heart.
Because if a person would obey the Lord in a certain place, then that obedience, you see, would have its effect upon two or ten or twenty or thirty. And then they would have the effect as they obeyed and walked with God. And then where does it end? It never ends.
Anything that God begins never ends. He told me that in a prayer room back twenty-five years ago. What God begins never ends.
Everything that God starts, begins, never ends. Anything that you and I began, it's dead at its beginning. We have to push it and prompt it and prime it and try to get it to go.
Not with God. What He starts keeps on going. It may look like it's dormant for ten years.
Look out, it's going to sprout out. Maybe day after tomorrow. See, everything that God leaves is alive.
It can never end. And He's striving to teach men and women, boys and girls, to walk with Him and to obey Him and to follow Him. It's a wonder story.
Jesus wants us to follow in His footsteps. Oh, if we could only get a few people to follow Jesus and do His will, it'd be a wonderful thing. God would come down in His healing power and just clear out the hospitals and the insane asylums.
Jesus would do it by the Spirit. Souls would be saved. Hearts would be changed.
They'd be saved in prisons by the thousands all over the country. If everyone were willing to obey the Holy Spirit. The cost of disobedience is immense.
But the returns of obedience is forever. And joy and peace in the Holy Ghost. Be faithful to obey God.
To what Jesus says. Did you get a glimpse of it? Were you able to get a glimpse of it? Just a glimmer of it? Could you see just a little bit of a side of truth there? It's wonderful. The cost of disobedience.
Some costs. We can only speak of some costs, not the entire cost. Just a little of it.
On the other side, the returns of doing God's will faithfully is forever and ever in beauty and wonder. And the return of bringing in the lambs and the precious ones that need to be rescued and helped and healed and lifted through Jesus Christ to life. Father, we thank you tonight for Jesus who said, Come unto me all ye that labor heavily, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and earn for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. My yoke is easy and my burden is light. Thank you, Jesus, for telling us this.
It's true. And we're very, very much in debt and owe thee all for it. How that he has rescued us, lifted us, and placed us on the rock where he has said, I have built my church in the gates of hell, so I might be able to prevail against it.
Which is the revelation that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who gave his life for the church and for all of us that we could be through his precious blood saved and transformed changed persons into new creatures, new creations. We thank you tonight, Lord, for your saving grace, your holy blood to save us, the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us. We ask for our nation that our nation could be spared from tragedy and from a terrible aftermath.
I trust, O God, that our people will hear and start obeying you. Because I know that if a few people really obey you, you'll change the scene in many lives and homes. I know it really works.
I know it really is precious and we can depend upon thee. We can't depend on anything else but thee. Because all other ground is sinking sand.
How great thou art and modest are thy ways, past finding out they are. So we do thank thee, Lord, for persons that will hear and heed and decide that they would obey thee to follow faithfully Jesus, what thee sayeth and what thee willeth. We pray for souls to obey, O Lord, that thee would have them to do.
Amen. We're trusting, Lord, that thou would have mercy and lead on, O King Eternal, for the day of March has come. For me, it's a mighty weapon to use against Satan.
We're thankful. Indeed. It's what Jesus told that precious saint of God that went to heaven and she had been so seriously ill.
And when she arrived at the gates of glory, Jesus met her. Oh, she said it was so beautiful. And he said, My child, you're not coming in now.
I'm going to send you back. You're going to go back and live in the earth. And she wanted to go in because she had suffered in the earth so very much.
She could see the splendor of it. Part of it. He said, No, my child, you're going to return to the earth and tell my bishops, my general superintendents, all ministers that they haven't made enough of the blood of the Lamb.
They haven't exalted the blood enough. She looked down and could see the earth was plain. It was like a round ball.
And she said when she looked at it, she was so astonished because the earth was so dense with demons. It was like a beehive. And great swarms of bees are in the hive.
She said she could see the demons covering the earth as bees cover a hive. She said she could see it just as plain. She could see the demons.
Now I want you to tell this world is full of demons. You don't resist them. You've got to rebuke them or resist them.
Or they'll take over. And she said, he said, child, we want you to go back to earth and tell the people they haven't made enough of the precious blood because there's so much evil power loose in the world. And see, most people don't know this because most people are possessed by wrong spirits.
And Jesus said, I want you to go back and tell them to exalt the blood. They haven't exalted the blood of Jesus yet. And that's tremendous.
She had quite a journey back, you know. It was hard to get back in that cold, cold body. She was depressed.
Now he told her, he said, you're going to be very ill for days. She said, I'm going to be very ill. But take courage.
He said, I'm going to bring you through. He said, it will be a hard struggle. It will be a difficult thing in essence.
But he said to her, I will bring you through it. He did. And I heard her speak in person.
And there wasn't a great deal of witness in the service until she spoke as far as I was concerned. I couldn't get tuned in very much of anything. But when she spoke, I listened.
Because she was a child of Jesus. Humble and lowly and tender and caring. And she wanted everyone to know that Jesus' blood, it's the blood of the Lamb that saves us.
It's protecting blood. It's healing blood. Saving, cleansing power.
And it is so urgent that we recognize that the blood of Jesus is our plea. You have to plead the blood all the time. Because if persons fail to apply the blood and put on the whole armor of God, a spirit of the earth can enter into your mind and your heart.
You have to resist it. Ask God to get it out of you. And you have to plead with him.
You'll have to plead with him to get out of this evil power that's trying to enter into your thoughts to our minds. Wants to inhibit it. And there's just two spirits.
That's the spirit of Jesus which is the Holy Spirit. See the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, the Comforter, are all one. It's one person.
Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. God is the first person. But they're all one.
In harmony and in unity there is oneness. They have their particular personal place. So God of Abraham is right on the throne.
And by his side is the only begotten of the Father, Jesus Christ. The lovely, the beautiful, the Rose of Sharon, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. He's right there at the right hand of God.
He's there now. Just a few weeks ago at one of the most famous churches in the world, Dr. D. James Kennedy's church is probably one of the most famous churches now on earth. And it's just right from our condominium across I can see the church spire just right across the ocean side where the Lord has provided for us.
After 43 years of trusting him, my father told me years and years ago, he said son when you're old you won't have anything. I'm worried about you. And then after 43 years Jesus would lay it upon the hearts of his people to provide a place for us right on the Atlantic Ocean.
And I know thousands of people in the United States and I do not know one person in the United States of all the thousands that are privileged to have a home on the Atlantic. Maybe you do, but I don't. And God allowed that to take place after we walked with him 43 years.
So take heart children. God has something for you someday if you're faithful. If you're true.
If you give Him all the glory and all the honor. He'll have a little corner for you down somewhere in Macedonia. If you're glad to be and just have nothing.
When we started out, I wasn't looking for anything. When I started out, I was just looking to do God's will. That's all.
I didn't worry about going to live or going to school. I didn't know how we were going to make it from one day to the next. But I was just too thrilled and was happy down in the lowlands of Macedonia.
Didn't know how I was going to pay my rent or anything. Oh, I was happy. I was happy to have everything.
Didn't have anything much. But it felt like I had lots. I felt like I had lots.
