The devil attacks us before any victorious move or conquest, but God's deliverance is available to those who obey His plan and trust in His power.
This sermon emphasizes the reality of spiritual attacks before moments of victory, drawing parallels to the Israelites' deliverance from Egypt and the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea. It highlights the unforgettable experiences that God provides in our journey, even in unexpected ways like crossing the sea on dry land. The message also touches on the importance of thorough exploration and faith when approaching the promises of God, as seen in the story of the twelve spies sent to Canaan.

Please be seated, my dear people. You know, just before any victorious move or conquest, there is a concerted attack of the devil. We see the powerful attacks of the devil.
Somehow to deflect us or keep us from entering real victory ground. The Lord heard the groanings of His people and said, I have come down to deliver. And He delivered them with His signs and wonders in Egypt.
And you know, if you and I cross barefoot, dry shod, through an ocean, you will never forget that experience. I have seen some of the bottom of the ocean. It's very undulating terrain.
I was leaving the Hebrides to catch my plane from North U.S. I had to go to South U.S. to catch the plane. I arrived at the rough key where I had to get into a boat to go to the next island. They said to me, today the boat is not going.
I said, how do I catch my plane in the next island? Oh, we will take you by tractor. I couldn't imagine what that was. So when I arrived at the key, there was no sea there.
The ebb tide was so great that the sea had receded, leaving its bottom. There was no water there. But I saw a tractor there with a trailer full of firewood.
I saw a tractor there. They said, here is your seat, get into the trailer. It will go to the next island.
So I got on top of the firewood. And I was getting cold. So I tried to pull the tarpaulin over me.
And then the tractor set off. I don't know if you have travelled on the back of a loaded tractor, but there was no road there because it was the bottom of the sea. So it rumbled and rumbled till we got to the next island.
Down, down over the undulations. But, when the people of Israel walked through the Red Sea, the water stood as a heap. You never see water standing like a wall.
How could they forget that? So, finally when they got to the borders of the promised land, if you turn to Numbers 13, twelve men were chosen, one man, one prince, out of each tribe. What were their terms of reference? And Moses 17 and 18, and Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan. And said to them, Get you up this way southward and go up into the mountain.
See the land, what it is, the people that dwell therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many, and what is that land they dwell in, whether it be good or bad, what cities they dwell in, whether in tents or in strongholds, and what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood, timber therein or not,
