The sermon emphasizes the importance of praying for a full surrender to God and a work of the Spirit, resulting in a deeper thirst for His presence and a greater anointing and power.
This sermon emphasizes the desire for a man of God who is filled with the zeal and holiness of God, one who loves God's presence and thirsts for it like David did in the Psalms. The prayer is for a man who will press deeper into God, seeking His presence through prayer and the baptism of the Holy Spirit to be anointed for greater works. The example of Stephen is used to illustrate the importance of being full of faith and the Holy Spirit in private before displaying it in public to impact others. The prayer is for a revolutionary transformation in this man to be set ablaze with God's holy fire.

God, you want a man of God, you want a man of God, you want a man that the zeal of God burns in, that the holyness burns in, a man that loves holiness, a man that loves your presence, aches for your presence, yearns for it. Lord, I'm asking for a man that would thirst for your presence like David spoke of it in the psalm, how he thirsted for you. How my flesh and my soul thirsts for the living God.
Lord, he saw you in the sanctuary and he says my soul thirsts for you as a result. Lord, I'm asking for a man that would be thirsty after his God and cause him to press in more and more and deeper and deeper. Lord, it's in the place of prayer, it's in the place of abusing the baptism of the Holy Ghost that there's greater anointing and power that you might use this man.
Stephen was a man full of faith and full of the Holy Ghost, but he was first a man full of faith and full of the Holy Ghost when no one was watching, O God. When he was all alone, that the anointing would rest upon him there, that when he rose up, it would rest on him in public settings to touch hurting people, O God. Would you do it? Would you do a revolution in this man that you might do a revolution through this man? In the precious name of Jesus, set him ablaze with holy fire, O God.
Thank you, Jesus.
