Maybe you're here tonight and your will continually trumps his will. Let me tell you right now, that's the opposite of marriage. Marriage is the loss of self in another, and when we're married to God, we give up our will to his will.
That's love. Love is, I prefer you above me. So when Jesus says crazy statements like this in Matthew 10, verse 37, he says, if any man loves father or mother more than me, they're not worthy of me.
Why? Because they don't even see who I am.
