We will have a challenge first, which is going to be followed by a testimony by Brother Michael Curl from Arizona. So let me start with the challenge, and the challenge starts with a question, will God repay double? We have one last message on Revelation chapter 18, and then we will go on after that to the four hallelujahs, the wedding feast of Christ, and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. But tonight we have one more message because it's so important for us to understand God. We have learned in the past few Monday nights that a mighty angel will come to destroy a great global city in the world. God gave the city the metaphorical name Babylon, and we learned that God will destroy this great city in an inferno because they're doing evil. They're full of demons and evil spirits. They're supporting the world in an anti-Christ system, and eschatologists believe that it's either going to be the city of Rome or the city of New York. Now, all of this could change, of course, depending on how global cities develop in their power. We had arrived at Revelation chapter 18, verse 6, where God told an angel to carry out the judgments, and there he said, repay her double according to her works. I wonder if you understand what God means with repaying double. Do we understand even the wrath of God in our societies? Because we only talk about his great love. We're not taught about his wrath and his judgments. You see, God hates sin, and in Matthew chapter 10, verse 28, Jesus said, and do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul, but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. God had used the words to repay the city double for her works, which were sin, iniquity, and abominations. I wonder if God will repay double to the United States and to Canada for our terrible abominations and sins. There's another passage in the Bible which has caused me great pain and many tears. I wept. It talks about God repaying Israel double for her iniquity before they would be restored as a nation. So let us please read this passage from the book of Jeremiah chapter 16, verses 15 to 18. This is a passage from the book of Jeremiah 16, 15 to 18. In verse 15, it says, the Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where he had driven them, for I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers. And this is a wonderful, wonderful promise which came true in 1948 when Israel became a nation. And this is the wonderful part that God put in the beginning, but here is now why we must fear God, because when we look at the other verses that are behind in Jeremiah 16, verse 16 to 18, we learn how God would repay Israel double. And there he says, behold, I will send for many fishermen, says the Lord, and they shall fish them. And afterward, I will send many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain and every hill and out of the holes of the rocks. For my eyes are on all their ways. They're not hidden from my face, nor is their iniquity hidden from my eyes. And first, I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled my land. They have filled my inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols. So beloved, the question is, how did God repay them double? Can you think of the events that led up to 1948 when Israel became a nation? What happened to Israel just before they became a nation? What happened to them? You see, God said he would send fishermen to fish Jewish people. God said he would send sharp hooks of fisher people to catch and penetrate and tear flesh. God said he would send hunters. In the times of the Old Testament, they had bows and arrows. In our times, they had guns. And the question is, what did the hunters do to find Jews? And so, beloved, God used Hitler's Nazi Germany and SS troops of Hitler and German secret police and German regular police to fish and hunt for the Jewish people. All became fishermen and hunters in Germany under Hitler to search for and hunt Jewish people in the countries of Germany and neighboring occupied countries by Germany during the Second World War. And God had said, and first, I will repay double for their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled my land. They have my inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable idols. So, beloved, I fear God. I don't know if you do, but I fear God, because all the sins we have allowed as a nation in the United States and Canada, if God were to repay us double, what would happen to our nations? You see, he gave the new nation to Israel, but what will happen to us? You see, during the Second World War, Germany started capturing and hunting Jews. And how many did they kill? Six million. And it was, if you have seen any of the pictures, you will have wept. It was the country I was born in. My father was shot by Russians, and my mother said she never knew what was done to the Jewish people. When my daughters became teenagers, I took them to visit Dachau concentration camp near Munich in Germany. As we stood for a long glass wall, we looked at great endless mountain of shoes. They were big shoes, little shoes, boots, and dress shoes, men's shoes, women's shoes, children's shoes, and baby shoes. As we looked, the realization started to hit our minds, and our eyes started to flow with tears. Then, and even now, as I think about it, I urge you to understand and study Jeremiah 16, verses 15 to 18 for yourself. Don't just believe me. Look at those passages and understand them. God said he carried out this judgment in the New Testament. It was not the Old Testament. It was the New Testament, okay? Now, let us fear God, but also let us love God, for it is him who sacrificed his son to cover our sins and to make us righteous before God. Now, this message in Jeremiah was overwhelming me, and I was weeping before God. I couldn't even do this message, to be honest with you. I felt, how can I share this with you? No one will believe it. I did not want to share this. I was told in my spirit, this is not my message. It's God's message. It's God telling us the truth. God says he's kind and forgiving and long in forbearance and patience, but he says he also understands, and he says, I hate sin, and the wrath will remain on those that will not turn to my son, Jesus. I will act in time. What I give you, my word, is truth. You will experience judgment. You will reap what you have sown. Unless you repent and return to me, says the Lord, you will be lost. So, in my kindness, I gave you my son. Repent. It is said that the nation of Israel would have never been approved except for the Holocaust, moving the majority of nations in the world to give approval and to vote for approval of the establishment of the Jewish nation. God did this. God says, in my kindness, the dead bones and bodies you saw in the Holocaust will be raised to live and live eternally if they believed in my son, Yeshua, the living Christ. God says, in my kindness and as I promised, I gave the Jewish people their land. So, beloved, now on the other side, were there any Christians in Germany? Did they try to stop it? There were 14,000 evangelical pastors in Germany during Hitler's time and World War II. When Hitler demanded for the swastika to be put in the churches, how many pastors gave in? 13,200 compromised. Only 800 pastors stood for God and his son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, by the way, the 800 who stood for Christ, they suffered in jail. Some went to concentration camps and some died. Some were hanged. After the Second World War, the Council of Evangelical Churches in Germany published a declaration of guilt on October 19, 1945, which in part said, through us, infinite wrong was brought over many peoples and countries. But we accuse ourselves for not standing to our beliefs more courageously, for not praying more faithfully, for not believing more joyously, and for not loving more ardently. I spoke to a leadership group of pastors here. What could one do if the remnant would be visible and become vocal and told the government when one went against the Word of God, would that help if there was a great remnant that would rise up? Well, I was told, well, we're not there yet. We're not ready, okay? We will just play ball at this time. And this is what 13,200 pastors did in Germany, beloved. So our countries of North America, what will happen to us? Will God repay devil? Will pastors do nothing? Will we stand courageously for our beliefs and pray more faithfully? Many churches in the United States have given up prayer and replaced them with other things. So they're helpless because we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but we wrestle against principalities and powers of the dark. So why did Jesus ask, will I find faith on the earth when I return? Do we now live in a house of fear of men and circumstances and COVID-19? Do we live in a house of the old self? Let us take care of numero uno. Let us all move to the house of faith and no longer fear men, but love and fear only God. Let us move to the house of faith. God said he would repay Israel for her sins. Now in the New Testament, in Hebrews, the Hebrew writer said in Hebrews 10 verses 30 to 31, for we know him who said vengeance is mine. I will repay says the Lord. And again, the Lord will judge his people, not just the unbelieving, also his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. At the same time, the Bible gives us great examples of the mercy of God. And I just want to briefly mention the mercy of God in closing to have the other side of God's loving heart. You see, there was a King Solomon. He had 300 concubines and 700 wives. We can conclude Solomon was addicted. Scripture tells us that Solomon even worshiped other gods because of the wives he took. It is even believed that he also sacrificed some children. So the question is, was King Solomon saved? And I believe King Solomon was saved because he repented. And he said in Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verse 13, let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Feel God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. In 2 Samuel 7 verses 14 and 15, God promised David concerning his son, King Solomon, I will be his father and he shall be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the children of men. But my mercy shall not depart from him as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you. So God gave Solomon a great penalty dividing the nation of Israel. But Solomon repented of his sins. And beloved, if any of us repent of our sins and turn back to God, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But if we don't, and even if we don't even speak up and we remain quiet in the storm that is happening and is coming, I wonder what God will think about that. Now, Jesus, the son of God, indicated that Solomon was forgiven. I believe in Matthew chapter 12 verse 42, there Jesus called Solomon great by saying, and indeed a greater than Solomon is here. Jesus compared himself to Solomon and that Solomon was great despite Solomon's sins. How gracious and kind is God, beloved. So God's grace is greater than all of our sin. But in closing, and the question was, will God repay us double? Do we really fear God? I don't think so. Not in the Western hemisphere, beloved, because we have been taught so much about the grace and mercy of God that what I shared in Jeremiah and the Holocaust cannot get through our minds. So Proverbs chapter 9 verse 10 says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. And so I say to you, my friends, do not be afraid of those that kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear, fear him who after he has killed has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you, fear him. Fear of men will leave you if you fear God. And 2nd Timothy 1.7 says, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. Now here in 1st Timothy, the fear that is referred to is not the fear of God because that we ought to have, but it is the fear of men. The fear of God replaces the fear of men with power and love and a sound mind. People who fear God face life, death, and man fearlessly. People who do not fear God fear everything. In Exodus chapter 20 verse 20, and this is another help why to fear God and why I'm sharing this. And Moses said to the people, do not fear for God has come to test you and that his fear may be before you so that you may not do what? Sin. Okay, so may stay away from sin, beloved, because if we do sin, God says he'll repay. He'll forgive us if we repent and turn back to him, but let us not be habitual sinners, always returning to the self. And then Psalm 34, 9 says, oh, fear the Lord. You were saints. There's no one in those who fear him, fear the Lord, and he gives us all we need. And then in Malachi chapter four, verse two, but to you who fear my name, the son of righteousness shall arise with healings in his rings and you shall go out and grow fat like a stall fed calf with blessings. So fear God and he gives healing and blessings to you. And this now brings us to the end. And I would encourage you to study Jeremiah chapter 16 verses 15 to 18. This is immensely important to understand the wrath of God and the Holocaust that the Jews went through because God repaid them double. Ask God to help you to fear him for wisdom. Ask him to help you to understand how he will help you and me to be ambassadors for Christ. Ask the Lord to help you to move from the house of fear of man and death and hell to the house of faith and God. And then we need to repent individually. We need to repent as a nation. And then unbelievers, if there's anyone on this call who does not yet believe, God is not mocked. I counsel you, please cry out to Jesus, the son of God, ask him for forgiveness of your sins and ask him to save you. Let us pray.
