E.A. Johnston emphasizes that only God can heal America, and this healing depends on the church's repentance, humility, and prayer.
In this powerful sermon, E.A. Johnston challenges the notion that political leaders can restore America, emphasizing that true healing comes only from God. Drawing from 2 Chronicles 7:14, Johnston calls the church to humble repentance, prayer, and turning from sin as prerequisites for divine intervention. He warns against complacency and urges believers to actively seek God's face for the nation's restoration. This message is a stirring call to spiritual renewal and national repentance.

There was a recent news heading this week and the title of the news story was, Who Can Heal America? And the gist of the article was, Which Politician Can Bring Healing To Our Country? I have news for you, friends. No politician can heal America. The White House can't.
The courthouse can't. And I fear the church house can't. Only God can heal America, friends.
The big question is, will God heal our land? And that's the title of my message this evening, Who Will Heal America? My text can be found in 2 Chronicles. You can turn in your bibles there now, friends. We will be in chapter 7 and verse 14.
Let me read us this striking passage of scripture at this time. And may the spirit of God attend the reading of his holy word. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
This passage demonstrates the if but principle in my bible. If the people of God will do such and such, then God will do such and such. God says that if my people, who are called by my name, do these things, then I will hear their prayers and heal their land.
Listen to me, friends. God will not move one inch until we comply with his demand of repentance on our part. If we turn our sanctuaries into solemn assemblies where the brokenhearted people of God are willing to humbly seek his face in prayer and supplication and turn from our wicked ways, he then promises to do two big things for us.
Hear and heal. Hear their prayers and heal their land. Let me ask you a question.
With all the senseless murders in our blood-filled cities, does our land need healing? But will the church repent and turn back to the God of the bible and heed the word of God and humble herself and comply to the terms for God to heal our land? Will she continue to hide her head in the sand and have church as usual on Sunday morning and just continue to bemoan and complain about the direction of the country? Why complain about it if you're not willing to do anything about it? God rejecting society is quickly spinning out of control while this country implodes upon herself. The last word Jesus had for his church in the book of Revelation was repent. Will the church in this country repent? Will God heal America? His eyes are on the church.
Let us pray.
