E.A. Johnston warns that when a nation abandons God and embraces sin as right, it is on a destructive path leading to judgment and calls the church to repent and reclaim its prophetic voice.
In this prophetic sermon, E.A. Johnston delivers a sobering message about the moral decline of the nation as it turns away from God and embraces sin. He highlights the consequences of societal decay, the church's failure to respond, and the urgent need for repentance. Drawing on biblical warnings, Johnston calls believers to awaken and reclaim their role in confronting evil and restoring righteousness.

My Bible says in Psalm 33 12, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. I fear friends for this once great Republic for she is no longer one nation under God but a nation out from under God. This nation is so far gone away and so far from God I don't know if she ever can be turned back to God.
I weep over this nation and the path this country is on because we have become a godless country of atheists and pagans, perverts and criminals. When wrong is right and evil is good and basic rules of decency no longer exist then a nation is treading a downward path that only leads to destruction and hell. In 1902 in the state of Georgia a public speaker was addressing a men's meeting and he ordered a female to get out of the meeting by saying she needed to get her fanny out of the meeting.
He was then promptly charged with obscenity and fined for violating the town's standards of decency. Our towns across America no longer have standards of decency. Rather they thrive on indecency and degeneracy.
What used to be taboo in America is now spoken publicly on TV and printed in the news and the moral declension of a nation is seen in its lack of propriety in society and the removal of decency standards that were crossed years ago by television programming and the increases of dens of inequity all throughout our once Christian communities. Ancient Rome was destroyed, historians tell us, because Rome had become one big brothel. If you line up all the massage parlors and strip clubs coast to coast in this country you have one big brothel.
Our living rooms have become brothels with x-rated movies and the internet. Our colleges have become brothels that corrupt our kids with the most ungodly perversions. Our communities grow more wicked every day with drunkenness and lewdness and profanity that's got to the point where you can't even go outside without being run over by a drunk driver or shot by a madman.
Our cities aren't safe because our nation is spinning out of control. The country is filled with greed and avarice and violence runs rampant in the land. America used to be the land of liberty but I fear it's become the land of imprisonments because when a man is enslaved to sin he walks in darkness until he is bound in chains in a devil's hell.
I can't drive down the road without breathing in the foul stinkweed of marijuana from the car ahead of me in traffic. This nation has gone crazy by legalizing narcotics and soon every illegal drug will one day be made legal in this country because every citizen has the right of choice. The floodgates have been opened and the contents of a filthy sewer are spilling out across this land.
You can't put your kids in a public school because the sexual predator teachers are there. When wrong is right the nation has come off its wheels and is heading for a crash of gigantic proportions. And where is the church in all of this? She is completely silent and utterly powerless to do anything about it because she has compromised herself with the world as she sleeps soundly on the pillows of self-preservation and conformity.
The church has lost her voice of authority in the land while the nation runs toward the ash heap of history as she sins fragrantly in the face of a provoked god and dares him to do anything about it. All I know, friends, is that the old violent world was drowned and wicked Sodom was burned to the ground. Heaven help us all.
