We are living in desperate times, friends, where the days are evil, in a sin-loving society spinning out of control, while all churches in the land lie in either spiritual authority or out-and-out apostasy. The light has gone out in the nation that has rejected the God of the Bible and has set up its own gods to worship. What's left of our churches today from preaching a debased gospel with a doormat Jesus is a mere religious institution that is paving the way for Antichrist, and when he comes on the scene with his beast and false prophet, he will be welcomed by our churches with open arms.
That man of sin who goes by the number 666 may be already alive at this hour and is being groomed to make his appearance on the fractured world scene as its economic savior. At that time, you will be ordered to take the mark of the beast if you want to live in a world run by the devil. I don't know how 666 will administer his mark on this pagan generation.
It may be in the form of a tattoo, for we are already prepared for that, for a tattooed generation will gladly take one more tattoo so they can buy and sell and make commerce in that day. It may be a mark as simple as 666 in a barcode on your wrist to allow you to buy your Starbucks for the day. This world as it stands right now, friends, is already in the grip of evil as nation after nation has legalized sin and promoted sexual perversion by calling it normal.
The world economic stage is fragile at best and it wouldn't take much for a sudden collapse of one nation to make the other nations fall like dominoes. The currency would be immediately worthless and everyone would be wiped out financially. That's when that Antichrist could appear on the scene with a solution to save the world.
You better make sure, friend, that what you call your religion will hold up in that day because if Caesar were emperor today the church in the west would say Caesar is lord but Jesus is my savior and think that was salvation. The bad Antichrist would be no big deal to this religiously lost generation that never bowed their knee to King Jesus. But when all hell is breaking loose here we can walk over to the pages of our Bibles, to the last book of the Bible and see how it turns out in Revelation chapter 20 and verse 10.
We see the day when 666 is clobbered by 777, God's word declares, and the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. That's it, friends. And oh what a day it will be when the devil is finally put out of business.
We'll be shouting hallelujah then. But until that time we have our work to do to reach our generation with the gospel of the Son of God. Let us shake off our spiritual authority and go to work in the salvation of souls.
Let's go grab a stack of gospel tracts and hand them out to this generation that so desperately needs Christ Jesus. Our time is fast running out. Let us pray.
