The recent sad and tragic news of the events in Orlando reminds me that this is a country of sudden death. And as a nation, we need healing. And it also demonstrates to me once again that as a nation, we don't need better gun control.

As a nation, we don't need new leaders and new laws. But what this nation truly needs is a new heart. Only a heaven-sent revival can turn this nation back to God.

And that's the desperate need of this hour, friends. And I want to pray along those lines right now. Great God, let me see you move in the midst of thy people.

May you come in revival, in an outpouring of your grace in your manifest presence. And reestablish your prominence and preeminence in your sanctuary. That your church will once again be a house of prayer.

And that your people will once again be burning and shining lights to this dark generation that needs Christ Jesus. May a God-consciousness grip our land. And may this nation turn back to the God of the Bible.

May your bride awaken from her slumber and be a moral compass to this nation once again. O Lord, give me a greater love for thy word. Give me a greater hunger for thy presence.

Grant me the grace to be more jealous for you and your honor. Increase my desire to live for eternity and to live on the out-and-out for you. Make me more Christ-like, I pray.

And give me a larger measure of thy Holy Spirit. And grant me a deeper level of usefulness to thee. Please come, great God, and visit us with a heaven-sent revival before it's too late.

I pray these things in the strong name of Jesus Christ, my King. Amen.
