Full Transcript

My Bible says in Acts 4.13, Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled, and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. This text proves that when you spend time with Jesus, you will get on fire for him, and ignite others with your holy boldness, to go out and proclaim the gospel of the Son of God, with no fear of the consequences. But the devil won't like it, because the devil doesn't like red-hot Christians, who burn with zeal for the living God, and who spend themselves and their substance to save the souls of men with the gospel of the Son of God.

The devil doesn't understand real red-hot Christians, who don't fear man, and who only fear God, and who live like martyrs, willing to risk everything for Christ and the gospel. For a red-hot Christian will make devilish men boil in anger, as they stand fearlessly in the face of red-hot persecution. Willing to risk limb and lives to the fire if necessary, so long as the gospel spreads like a prairie fire, and God receives the glory.

The devil doesn't like red-hot Christians, who live their lives for eternity, with the consuming passion of a burning meteor, falling to earth, all as smoke, and all on fire, picking up speed, and throwing off sparks, until its work is done, finally crashing to earth, and leaving a deep, gaping mark behind it for the world to gaze in astonishment. Because a real red-hot Christian will stay so close to a crucified Christ, they will live crucified lives on fire for God, and be an amazement to angels, and startle a sinful world that stands in the shadow of their bright and shining lives, as they do all they can, with all they have, to keep souls out of a real red-hot hell, to frustrate the devil, and bring glory to almighty God.
