Gazing at the river all alone, I can still remember my sweet home. The dark hungry evenings in the cold, the soft warm love I came to know. Sunbeams danced around you there, and crazy laughter filled the air.
The childlike games we used to play, and still we grew older every day. I dreamed that we were in love again, and we were traveling in a foreign land. It's funny how time goes on and on, while my life is slowly gone.
I try to catch the sun, but the clouds are in the way. If you were here with me, we would catch the sun today. I try to catch the sun, but the clouds are in the way.
If you were here with me, we would catch the sun today. Gazing at the river all alone, it's hard to live without a home. Tired, I sit here, trying to remember my younger years.
The river is silent as I think about your life you shared with me. The best of my years I gave to you, now my tired body's bent and bruised. Sometimes my dreams seem so real, but it's nothing more than a guilt I feel.
The thoughts of you that remain with me, live on and on in my dreams. I try to catch the sun, but the clouds are in the way. If you were here with me, we would catch the sun today.
