Daniel B. Wallace (June 5, 1952 – N/A) was an American preacher, scholar, and professor whose ministry focused on New Testament studies and textual criticism within evangelical circles. Born in California, he earned a B.A. from Biola University in 1975, followed by a Th.M. in 1979 and a Ph.D. in 1995 from Dallas Theological Seminary, where he later served as Senior Research Professor of New Testament Studies for over three decades. Wallace’s preaching career was tied to his academic and pastoral roles, including teaching at Dallas Theological Seminary since 1979 and serving on the pastoral staff at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas. He founded the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts in 2002 to preserve Greek New Testament manuscripts through digital photography, reflecting his evangelistic passion for scripture’s integrity. Author of Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics (1996), a standard text in seminaries, and senior New Testament editor of the NET Bible, he preached at conferences and churches worldwide, emphasizing the reliability of scripture. Married to Pati since the 1970s, with four sons, he continues to influence evangelical thought from Texas.
