Brian H. Edwards (c. 1940 – N/A) was a British preacher, author, and lecturer whose ministry spanned over five decades, focusing on biblical apologetics, historical theology, and pastoral leadership within the evangelical church. Born in Devon, England, he spent his childhood and teenage years in Kent, where he became a Christian in his mid-teens through the influence of friends who shared the gospel with him. He pursued theological education, earning a Bachelor of Divinity from the University of London, initially accepting theistic evolution before adopting a literal interpretation of Scripture that shaped his later teaching. His preaching career began as an assistant to Derek Prime at Lansdowne Evangelical Church in London from 1963 to 1966, followed by a 29-year pastorate at Hook Evangelical Church in Surrey from 1966 to 1995, where he built a reputation for clear, scripture-based sermons. Edwards’ ministry extended beyond the local church as he served as President of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) from 1995 to 1998, visiting numerous congregations across the UK to preach and encourage. He authored over 20 books, including Evidence for the Bible with Clive Anderson and Revival – A People Saturated with God, blending historical biographies with theological insights, and became a sought-after lecturer on biblical inerrancy and creationism, collaborating with organizations like Answers in Genesis.
