God lives and works today. Is that hard for you to believe in view of the world's situation? Or do you shrug your shoulders and say, we're all in the same boat? If we don't blow ourselves up, we'll destroy ourselves through pollution and overpopulation. Today's meditation by Basilea Schlink will explain why this isn't true, why we're not all in the same boat.
Today, tornadoes are raging across the face of the earth. However, not only physical storms that inflict damage in various countries, but also storms of demonic powers, which take away all man's natural security. Due to the increasing crime rate and the growing number of riots and catastrophes, no one is secure anymore.
The seductive voices and slogans of our time seek to bring us into confusion and make us afraid. More and more people are falling into the depths of despair. However, in the midst of this darkness which is descending upon us, there is a bright ray of hope.
Picture in your mind people in a tiny boat, like a nutshell on an angry sea. This little ship is being led invisibly by a strong hand and is wonderfully protected in all the storms. It is dancing over the mighty waves and it still cannot sink.
For the hand that is holding it is strong. But what kind of boat is this? It's the ship of God's love. People who love our Lord Jesus more than anything else, and who truly love and are reconciled with their neighbors, are sitting safely in this little ship.
For God loves us so much that when we respond to His love, when we accept it and love Him in return, He showers us with all His blessings. Yes, those who love God are safe in this little boat. God has prepared it for them for the time of the flood.
How can we have this love for God and our neighbor? God will give it to us if we ask Him. Now is the time of preparation. Now, before the terrible catastrophes break out and the powers of seduction devour the earth.
That is, we must pray for love and pray for God to show us where we are unloving, which areas of our lives need to be changed. When we yield ourselves to Him to be prepared and purified, then He will transform us into His own image, which is infinite, pure, and eternal love. We need this love, this life under all conditions.
It's the only way we will have security, the only way we'll be prepared for the coming time of judgment. Yes, in the ship of God's love, we will be safe and secure. No matter how much the storms rage, no problem, no danger will be able to harm us, for we will be hidden safely in the Father's ship, led by His strong hand to Him and to His glory.
I bind myself to you, to you alone, to your commandments, to your way. Oh, now your hand upon me lay. I'll follow, follow you.
You are my great reward. I'll follow you, my Savior, my Sovereign, and my Lord. You have been listening to a program written by Basilea Schlink of the Little Land of Canaan.
