Praise is A Greater Weapon?

God lives and works today. He is at work in our world, even though troubles and tensions only seem to be increasing from day to day. It's true that the forces of hatred seem to be gaining the upper hand, and it's true that mankind already has enough weapons on hand to destroy the whole world.

But God is alive. He is the only one who can stand against the hatred, evil, and corruption, and He is more powerful than all of these. He has given us a wonderful weapon with which we can hold back all the powers of destruction.

The following program by Baselius Schlink will tell us what this weapon is and how we can use it. Scientists confirm that we are living in a time like never before. For the first time in the history of the earth, the entire creation of God is threatened by a total destruction at the hand of man.

Never before has the whole world been so threatened by pollution, by famine, and natural catastrophes. And there has never before been such a widespread rebellion against law and order, such moral decay. Jesus Christ prophesied about this time almost 2,000 years ago.

He warned us that the judgment of God would descend upon us. Each one of us, however, has the possibility and opportunity to hold back this wave of judgment. But how can we do this? The answer is in a vision given to the Apostle John in Revelation chapter 14.

He wrote, Then I saw another angel flying in midheaven with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and tongue and people. And he said with a loud voice, Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the fountains of water. Yes, we can hold back the judgment if we fear God and give him the glory.

The voice of praise and glory is the only voice that can stand against the growing voices of hatred and rebellion against God in our world today. When we praise God and call upon his name, the powers of darkness must yield and wonderful changes are brought about. But how can we bring God praise? True praise comes only from a humble heart, a heart that is surrendered to the Father.

Jesus is looking for people today who will humble themselves beneath his holy will in their everyday life, and who will take his commandments as binding. For this surrender to the will of God is true worship. Only then will our praise be genuine, and only then will God be glorified.

Let's commit ourselves, our will, completely to him. Then our hearts will be filled with praise. We will not only help to hold back the coming destruction, but our lives will become full and happy.

We pray, Lord, let many hearts burn now into flame. Call multitudes, Lord, to praise your great name. Dedicate all of their lives to praise you.
