God lives and works today. We can see him at work in the lives of those who love him as he makes them into conquerors. Our lives needn't be marked by one defeat after another.
Listen to the following meditation called More Than Conquerors, or in other words, Losers Will Be Winners. In the midst of great suffering, the Apostle Paul wrote to his congregation in Romans 8, 37, In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. As he wrote these words, he may have been thinking about the city of God.
For we know that the Lord's primary concern was that we might enter that city one day as conquerors and victors. And for this reason, Jesus warned the churches several times in Revelation with the words, He who conquers. The number one question in our lives should be, are we becoming conquerors in our struggles, troubles, and suffering? According to Jesus' words, if we conquer, we shall inherit everything, glory, the throne, and crowns.
Loves who all heaven's dreams from Jesus, Glows and gleams sparkling light by round his throne, Blessed ones by him set free, Walk by the crystal sea, Radiant with love like him. Yes, the conquerors, the overcomers will inherit the city of God in all her glory. However, there can only be a conqueror when there has been some kind of battle.
Therefore, the Lord is calling to us, make yourselves ready for battle. Don't grow weary in the fight against your sins. Otherwise, you won't be able to bear the name conqueror.
Fight the good fight of faith, for you can become a conqueror. How? Through him who loved us. Jesus loves us so much that he doesn't just offer us help.
He offers us complete victory. What a triumphant sound Paul's words have. In all these things, we are more than conquerors.
That should say to you, there are no exceptions. In every trouble, battle and temptation, we are challenged to become conquerors, more than conquerors. In Jesus' sacrifice lies such redemptive power for us.
Yes, nothing is greater than Jesus and his victory. May we all enter the city of God one day, truly as overcomers who have become more than conquerors. City of God so fair, joy quivers everywhere, for the Lamb's feast is prepared.
Radiant with wondrous light, heaven gleams with splendor bright, rays of the glorious Lamb. This city shines so bright with love, its only light like streaming out from the Lamb. Power of this love divine, brighter than moon and sun, transforms the city of God.
