Heaven Will Come Down

God lives and works today. He is real, and wherever He touches a human life, a bit of heaven comes into that person's life. But perhaps you don't experience God's power and reality.

You're smothering under a mountain of problems and difficulties, and life seems anything but heavenly. Well, now is just the time when you can experience the reality of God and the reality of heaven. Today's meditation by Basilea Schlink will tell how.

We are living in a very dark time. Many people say that the world has become a bit of hell. What can help us in these times when this atmosphere almost tries to smother us? God is a Father of love, and He is righteous.

Therefore, as much as we must suffer, so much will we be able to experience heaven opened before us. For as a true Father who wants to educate His children, God never gives us only suffering and chastening. To those who accept the suffering and chastening who stand under the cross, He has also promised a heaven.

There was a time in my life when I had not yet made this discovery. But why not? I had not yet learned to count on the fact that heaven and our omnipotent Lord with His mighty armies of angels is stronger than all suffering. Yet one day it was as if the Lord called to me, begin to count on the reality of heaven.

Then you will experience its power. At that, in the midst of my troubles, I began to put this into practice. Although everything in and around me seemed dark, confused, and hopeless, I often said in prayer, I won't busy myself any more with thoughts about how frightful and terrible everything around me is, or about the more dreadful things that might happen.

No, I won't do it any more. From now on, I will praise God that heaven is mine. Jesus has opened its gates through His precious blood.

Heaven will come down into my life. This I expect, and Jesus has promised, whatever you expect and believe, that you will receive. Yes, I have experienced heaven isn't an empty word, a non-existent wonderland.

God, my Father, Jesus, and all the armies of angels live there, and they also want to make their home in our hearts and lives. What a wonderful reality! And yet, this can only happen when I love God and live according to His commandments. This is the prerequisite.

However, when we have fulfilled this, we may take advantage of this incomparable offer. So count on this. Heaven will dawn in your life.

Divine joy will spring up from within. And even in the midst of pain and distress, the exuberance and happiness will be tremendous. Amazed, you'll scarcely be able to comprehend the great blessing your cross and suffering have brought you.
