God lives and works today, but maybe you don't feel that way right now. Does your life seem like a losing battle? Do you have the feeling that things could be better, but you just don't know the next step? Today's meditation by Basilea Schlink can help you. What should I do? Every few weeks it seems as though chaos reigns.

I have terrible inner conflicts, and I'm unfriendly to everyone. I'm not at all surprised that you experience such attacks. The Bible says that Satan chooses certain days for attacking people with all his strength.

Sometimes he chooses one person, sometimes another. Then, it is as we read in Ephesians 6, a matter of being able to withstand in the evil day. By holding on to Jesus' victory, we will be able to win the battle.

And we can fight this battle in the certainty of victory, for it has already been fought and won by Jesus Christ. I know all that, but I'm still not victorious. This fact never helped me either, as long as I neglected to take the next step.

To claim this victory and the signs of this victory, the blood and the wounds of Jesus, in prayer. That is what the Apostle Paul means when he writes in Ephesians 6, Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you can quench all the flaming darts of the evil one. We must praise the victory of Jesus in prayer and proclaim it aloud before Satan and all of hell.

When we use this shield of faith and claim the victory of Jesus, we are not fighting in a vacuum anymore. For when we praise the blood of the Lamb, Satan must yield. Yes, but haven't you had any times in your life when you didn't experience any signs of victory? Yes, I went through a period in my life knowing about this fact that Jesus is victor, but still didn't take full advantage of it.

Therefore, I continued to have inner conflicts. I remained in bondage to certain sins and continued to be unhappy. One day, I couldn't stand it any longer.

Filled with grief, I said to myself, My life is nothing but a disgrace for Jesus, because I'm living like one who has not been redeemed. Then I began to fight a battle of faith, praising the power of Jesus' blood and His wounds day by day over my bondages to sin in prayer and song, and the Lord's victory began to be manifested in my life. Therefore, use the prayer of victory.

Don't grieve your Lord Jesus by not claiming His victory. With the name and blood of Jesus, you have the possibility to go into battle with a weapon that guarantees victory. And on the day of temptation, you will be able to withstand, for the victorious power of Jesus will already be at work in you.

Jesus, You are my Redeemer. I trust in Your great might. Jesus, You are the way.

For me, You won the fight. You have been listening to a program written by Basilea Schlink of the Little Land of Canaan. To learn more about how God lives and works today, visit us at our website, www.canaan.org. If you contact us, we would be happy to send you a free inspirational booklet.
