Andrew Murray emphasizes the importance of believing in a great change possible through God's power and purpose, and the need to ask for the Holy Spirit to experience revival.
Andrew Murray emphasizes that our unbelief can hinder revival, as we often become complacent with our spiritual state, believing that no significant change is possible. He urges believers to focus on God's purpose, power, and promises, encouraging them to seek the Holy Spirit actively. By recognizing our need for transformation and God's readiness to act, we can overcome our doubts and experience a true revival in our lives.
Text
There is no symptom of a feeble and diseased life more terrible than that we get so accumulated to it as not to believe any great change possible. We settle down and rest content with what we are; we find reason for regarding our state as the best possible one on earth. Do let us fix our heart up on the purpose and the power and the promise of God until we begin to see him, who worketh all things according to the purpose of his will, just waiting to be gracious and to give his Holy Spirit to them that ask him.
